Incentives Available on 2008 Light-Duty Shootout Trucks

Shootoutincentives

PickupTrucks.com just finished its huge 2008 Light-Duty Shootout, which compared the merits and drawbacks of the market’s most popular light-duty trucks. The Shootout covered pretty much anything you can think of … except what kind of deals buyers can get on those trucks, which is where this post comes in. There's plenty to chew on for each of the tested models: the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2009 GMC Sierra both have between $500 and $1,500 cash-back available (depending on trim level), while the 2009 Dodge Ram has incentives ranging from $500 to $1,000 (again, depending on trim level).

The best incentives on 2009 models come on the Ford F-150 and the Nissan Titan. As part of Ford’s year-end sale, the F-150 is newly available with zero percent financing for 36 months, while Titan buyers will have the choice between 0.9 percent financing for 72 months and $4,500 cash back – by far the friendliest deals available on any of the Shootout trucks.

The lone 2008 truck in the Shootout, the Toyota Tundra, has a variety of cash-back incentives and financing deals available, but the discounts are highly sensitive to region. We found at least $4,000 in a variety of regions, and up to $5,000 using zip codes from the upper Northeast. Toyota is also offering zero percent financing for 60 months in a variety of places. Check Toyota’s site for offers available in your area.

All offers expire Jan. 5, save for Toyota’s deals, which expire Dec. 1.
