Ford To Auction First 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor At Barrett-Jackson

Interested in buying the first 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor high-performance offroad pickup offered for sale? Here's your chance. Ford is putting the Raptor up for bid at the 2009 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. in January.

The Raptor hitting the auction block will be a 5.4-liter V-8 model, rated at 320 horsepower / 390 pounds-feet of torque, that's slated to go on sale next summer. Not being auctioned is the brand-new 6.2-liter premium V-8 version, estimated at 400 hp and more than 400 pounds-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter Raptor is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Ford will also auction two other rear live axle vehicles at Barrett-Jackson; the first 2010 Mustang GT and 2010 Mustang Shelby GT500.

All proceeds above the Raptor's retail price will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
