Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Big Red" Silverado Fetches $80,000 At Barrett-Jackson

2006 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Big Red Silverado

The Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Big Red" Silverado we previewed last week fetched $80,000 (plus a 10 percent buyer's premium) at the 2009 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Big Red featured buffed custom bodywork, a 380-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8, a four-speed automatic transmission, front and rear Eaton E-Locker differentials, a Rancho 4-inch suspension lift, custom 20-inch wheels and 37-inch tires.

Just wondering here quietly - how much would it cost to buy a regular Silverado and then outfit it with all the bells and whistles with aftermarket? Probably still cheaper than buying this concept...
