Suzuki To Show Three Custom Equator Pickups In Chicago

Suzuki scored a hat trick at last year's Chicago auto show when it introduced three house-built custom versions of its new 2009 Equator midsize pickup. This year, the company is looking to repeat that feat with three more tweaked trucks. This time it's teamed with several magazines for creative assistance.

4-Wheel & Off-Road, Off-road and Truckin’ will show off their unique interpretations of the Equator at the 2009 Chicago auto show on Feb. 11. Suzuki has released a teaser rendering of Truckin's street-performance rig, which will feature a massaged four-cylinder engine under the hood and 999 ccs of Suzuki GSX-R sportbike in the bed.

We'll find out what the other two trucks look like in person in the Windy City during our coverage of the show.
