Our lunatic government hates gas (and diesel) guzzling pickups, pushing for hybrid sales with the C4C prgram. They were so hard up on ridding the country of V8s that they mandated destruction of them all uopn trade-in. Now they say how bad they need them. What if this happened in the U.S. and all we had were hybrids and Euro cars to transport goods? I really do sympathize with the Haitians, and I hope they do find donor trucks, but Clinton can stuff it. What a hypocrit.

I know this is a truck website buttt my on political statement would be I think it's funny when Clinton was president and he didn't want to send armored trucks into samalia causing American soliders to die (the true story of blackhawk down) but now is asking for trucks In Haiti know it's not really comparable but u wanted to bash on Clinton :)

A Toyota Landcruiser weights 5,700 lbs..thats more than a F-150,Ram,GM 1/2 ton.So,a landjunker is not light,why send them in ? If you are talking about the old 1970's rolling beater ,there are not enough around in the U.S or the world for that matter slow,unreliable,rough riding junkers !!

The reason Toyota's are usually used by the U.N and other foreign countries around the world is that Toyota's are the only trucks sold at all in those countries ,due to lack of demand for trucks. They dont sell GM,Ford or Dodge Rams other than U.S.A,Canada and Mexico in mass amounts,please get a clue.It is not that toyota's are good its that they are cheap and plentiful in foreign countries,and the only truck sold,because Dodge/Ford/Gm doesnt sell in those countries.

Toyota is the last truck those people need,with all the disaster they have ,we need not send them un-reliable random excelleration Toyota trucks that will injure more people,then when they load them up,they will structuaully fail due to frame rust and cracking tailgates.

Yes,thanks to cash for clunkers maybe some people may have donated their old truck to them,but now used vehicles are just a bit harder to come by so..forget it !! Why cant they use the hundreds of millions of dollars already donated to buy some trucks ? There is a point when you have to have some personal accountability especially with hundreds of millions raised already for them,they can buy their own from now on..

looking for a used armored truck

Feels very sad after hearing the disaster caused by the earth quack. And to higher the pickup truck is I think the very good idea because at the time of the earth quack it's not possible to drive the big trucks trough the damaged roads and it's very necessary to reach the food as well as the medicine to the people affected by the quack. And pick up truck is I think the good option at that time.
