Hot Wheels Beach Bomb is our Type of Toy Truck

Hot Wheels Beach Bomb is our Type of Toy Truck

They don't make them like they used to. Certainly not like the old Volkswagen Transporter Type 2 pickups. But if you feel nostalgia for VW's classic dropside workhorse, Hot Wheels can hook you up.

On Tuesday, April 5 at 9:00 am Pacific, you can click your way to a limited-edition Hot Wheels Collector Series Ten Real Riders Beach Bomb Pickup.

The Beach Bomb features two removable surfboards, a Spectraflame purple finish, flower deco on the front and sides, Real Riders slotted wheels with white “Surf's Up” outlined white letter tires, a full-metal polished-chrome-plated chassis, light smoke-tinted windshield and light tan interior. Sorry, the sides don't drop but you can make cool sounds and pretend that they do.

The Beach Bomb Pickup will run you $14.99 plus shipping and handling. Isn't that a small price to pay for a smile?

Mike, if this existed, would it be your daily driver?

It would be mine. That's one sweet VDub. Gotta love it. Thanks Mike.

@Michael: I'm still looking for the right Raptor to come along. ;-)

Cool little truck. The problem is if you take it out of the package it isn't worth anything as a collectible. I've heard of grown men getting into fist fights over collectible HotWheels cars. Some are worth a small fortune.

@Mike Levine,

Not unless I get it first. Get in line. Lol!

Finally a compact truck available in America that we all can afford.

@Lou,

The demographics for this type of vehicle is: Bob

This would be a major upgrade to what he currently has.

That's a pretty neat idea. I need to get my hands in one of these soon. :)
