Cars.com Drives the L.L. Bean Bootmobile

Our connected cousins at Cars.com recently had the chance to take the L.L. Bean Bootmobile for test spin around the streets of Chicago to find out what the monster sporting boot (actually an older Ford Super Duty F-250) could do.

Our test driver, Joe Wiesenfelder, found the a few surprises along his driver route but came away quite impressed (or, at least, as impressed as you could be with a 14-foot-tall custom shell. Joe even stopped by the local Ford dealership for a quick oil change. As you might imagine, the work in the dealer service area came to a grinding halt.

They could have done such a better job with that shoe.

They could have integrated the lights and made a bumper that blends in with the shoe.

Those wheels are hideous. They should have covered up the wheels anyway.

Clearly a shoe made for the campaign of the Mexican polygamist heathen.

It reminds me of the winter felt pack boots we have for the winter. Leather upper and rubber bottom.
Is it a gasser or diesel? or a hybrid that runs on toe jam?

I had to look up the "Mexican Polygamist" comment - funny.
American politics can be so much more fun to observe than our own. LOL

Now see, I don't think that should be Obummer's GovMoCo campaign Denali truck. I think that should be Romney's Ford SD campaign truck. It symbolizes not only the Real truck manufacturer but what Romney is going to do to Obummer. Kick that guys butt back to Chicago.. Give him the Boot! There's tons of campaign slogans just Ready for that thing!
