Ford Atlas Concept: Photo Gallery

Ford-atlas-concept-560.jpg

While Mark is busy on-site covering the release of the new Ford Atlas pickup concept at the Detroit Auto Show, over at Cars.com's KickingTires, we've got a photo gallery showing off all of the images we could get our hands on. From the grille that blew us away to the many cool detail shots, it's well worth your time. We'll have live photos and more later on in the day, but for now, feast on this.

Now that's a TRUCK!

Transformer.. 'nough said...

Not bad. I like the truck overall, but a few things I noticed.

The split headlamps, that Chevy got so much crap over are here.

The mirrors look horrendous. Absolutely hate the mirrors. As weird as it may seem, one of the defining characteristics in a truck for me are it's mirrors. I will NEVER own a truck without tow mirrors, it makes it look more like a truck, and if you've ever had the pleasure of using tow mirrors, you will never switch back to regular mirrors again, they are far superior.

Ford just made the tundra look pretty.

put the small turbo Diesel in it and I will buy one!

I never thought I'd see a truck uglier than the Tundra, But there it is. Hell it even make a Ridgeline look good.

The front bumper is a worked over Raptor idea. I Like the bumper but hate the SuperDuty snout. I like the overall lines of the truck. The rear bumper matches the lines of the tailgate. I think that a composite bed is a much better idea than the rolled steel in the Chevy. It is lighter and more durable plus it negates the extra cost and weight of a bed liner or spray in liner.
The blue mood lights in the cab are too much. I don't mind the style of the interior or console. The shifter is odd. The back seats are dumb. Is it a 4 passenger vehicle or what?
The square exhaust tips under the bumper kill the tough work truck look. Misjudge your departure angle and bye bye exhaust. No more backing into a dirt bank to unload your bikes or quads.

The only negatives are the stupid duty snout, the exhaust tips, the back seats and the mood lighting. The rest is good.

The 22 inch wheels are just a show piece or hopefully just for the next Harley wannabe truck.

Looks like Ford kicked GMC squarely in the gonads. It now makes perfect sense why GMC revealed their trucks before this auto show.

HEY ,,, SAME OLE JOE. GOT SOME ONE WHO WILL GIVE YOU BLUE BOOK ,,ON YOUR RAM.. HALF WHAT YOU PAID FOR IT.. SWEET DREAMS ..

sameole joe .got someone who wants your ram,,, blue book says ,,, HALF WHAT YOU HAVE IN IT... SWEET DREAMS..

i like it alot it looks good nice design keep up the good work ford and it looks nothing like a chevy or dodge

I love it. The only thing I think would be a better accessory is the ability to request a bench-seat like the retro trucks used to have. I miss them. I miss having my wife right next to me.

gawd, just when i thought a ford couldn't get any uglier they show us this. the last decent looking ford was made in 1979

everyone is talking about it, all positive. i own 2011 f150 and plan on buying this new version. and by the way my 2011 is the most awsome truck i have had. the others are all jealous.
