2019 Ram 1500 Full Lineup: Spied in Transport

Ram1500Tradesman.r03 II

Our spy shooters are everywhere. In fact, they recently had the chance to see a few particular 2019 Ram 1500 models, fully naked, that we did not see at the 2018 Detroit auto show. Although the all-new Ram 1500 has been introduced, there are still a few versions we haven't seen up close. Our guess is that some of these models will be available for us to drive in March when we have the chance to get behind the wheel. We'll have more to offer once we tow and haul with the new pickup truck and experience the lineup of powertrains. For now, here are a few versions we haven't seen.

After seeing this I had to hold back a vomit.

Every one of them looks nice from the work plastic nose to the chrome. I like them all better then the new chevy trucks shown however the new yet to be really shown gmc might be better for high end packages.

Beautiful Truck !

That crew cab looks HUGE. I do not care for the badging on the hood.

Very good looking truck except for one thing - the badge on the hood. Hope it’s just stuck in with double faced tape. Fishing line and goo gone....

it's a great time for guys who want a new half ton truck

I checked one out at the St. Louis show this weekend, The hood emblem looks okay in person. Now the hideous RAM head on tailgate is another story. Otherwise inside and out pretty sharp..
All I see pictured here is 4 door SUV's with a bed tacked on. The best looking truck of any brand is a regular cab short bed 4X4.

They also need a mid-size Ram, not that thing they make in Mexico

Has Ram completely abandoned the single cab? Finding one on a dealer's lot is impossible. Let trucks be trucks and make the single cab.

Somebody call the truck fashion police, those round wheel wells are looking ANGULAR! ! ! Que the conniption fits from the resident hyper-critics.

No but really it looked better before and besides the low price that’s all it really had going for it, certainly wasn’t the poor build quality or the weird dial shifter or the coil spring suspension with the worst payload capacity possible. Maybe the quality will get better if more are made in America.

Good looking trucks!

Amazing, I can’t post the phrase “thanks to T R U M P” (no spaces) without it being filtered out and rejected. I’ll bet if I type Obama or Clinton without spaces it will go through. You liberals make me sick.

These are nice looking trucks and the most interesting part to me is in the headline: "Spied in Transport". GM is going to have a rough time selling trucks between when these hit the lots and their own new trucks make it to market. Ram could easily jump to the number 2 slot this year.

Everyone has, led by the customers. Why should they build what does not sell?

I can't believe all the people gushing over this thing.

The interior I need to see in person so I reserve judgment but damn does that front end look bad now that I see it in different trims. Total Dakota front end strapped on a full size truck for fuel efficiency.

This is going to polarize a lot of RAM guys when they see it on the lots. It definitely lost a lot of it's "tough" look for the guys that need that sort of thing.

They will have redesigned front ends around by year 2......

It's far better looking than the current truck.

I like this look better, more toned down.. A more mature looking instead of the "me too" in your face immature previous gen design. Glad to finally see them moving away from the massive unnecessary grille. Smooth and sleek. The cab also has grown to match that of the tundra.. now they both kinda look the same. Good move on ram.

Rear view, ok, front view yuk, 2018 Ram front is better

Guts
Gross
Ram

Looks to soft to me. Trucks are manly thats why guys buy them Most guys don't even need a truck. I think they almost look to mini van in the front.

Beautiful. Rebel for me please.

Are most of these pictures taken in stopping tests?

If not this thing has a bad rake as well. Must be those new progressive coil springs in the rear.

That Rebel truck looks real good. The rest will take a little time I think.

I'm not a big fan on the tiny headlights on the upper trims. Chevy has that tiny headlight look across the line it seems.

Does anyone else not like this?

I think the Trucks look great.

Now that they have gone to a progressive rear coil spring, I am really curious about how that is going to translate to how it rides and drives both loaded and unloaded.

I know I have progressive coils in my Ram 2500. It road a lot smoother when I first drove it home. After putting about 500-600 pounds on it now rides noticeably stiffer then when empty.

I can typically live with a little load sag if it keeps a smooth ride. That is my only real concern about the new Ram 1500.
I suppose that can be resolved with the optional air ride.

Someone asked about Regular cab's. Those are all built in the same plant with HD trucks which are not likely to convert over to the new design for another year. I would speculate the new Regular cab 1500 will come along with the new HD in about a year from now. For now both the current 1500 regular cab and the HD will remain on the old platform.

I do like the looks inside Nd out but the outside does look like a dodge Durango!!

Jim. This Liberal served three tours in Vietnam. Discharged in 72 drew one unemployment check and went to work. I am now 70 and still working. You have a problem with that.

wonder if they will be more reliable.

Hate that new Ram head badge on the tailgate (seen on last pic).

No I do not.

I'm also not a fan of the squinty-eyed jeeps or the Chevrolets. I've always preferred the GMC to the Chevy with the slant eye in the 00's and the small silverado lights currently in use.

Mmmmm, Not Bad but too much car DNA ( Toyota Carry Style)

By now, everyone should know who pays Mark's salary...FCA. Every edition has an article about Dodge, even their opening page has a Dodge on it's headline. NO 'bias' here what-so-ever!!!

Love to see the regular cab when it comes out, especially RCSB. Buying one for sure. Also glad to see the hideous big rig styling finally gone.

Actually, Ford does.. He's just trying to throw us off. You can tell how much he put the upcoming ranger on the ped even though it's plain and bland with little to nothing to offer. He hyped it up so much, when it arrived, it was such a disappointment. The silverado release had more interesting innovations but was not covered well.

I think you guys are just annoyed with the lack of news on the other brands. Maybe its because there is no news on the other brands. Gm has had plenty of press on the sort of new truck. Toyota has nothing really new to talk about. Sure the ranger is good press as well. Point is, just because there isnt enough press about your brand, maybe you should consult your brand and ask for more innovation to get more press.

No, Mark hypes up of Ford. He wants in like how Mike got in to Ford. No better way than to suck up.

Not a huge fan of the exterior styling, it's a little too marshmallowy. Definitely has a Durango meets Tundra vibe.

The exterior styling on this truck overall is uninspiring . There is no one feature that catches your eye and makes you say, "hey, take a look at that". The old truck was a good looking unit mainly due to its big rig styling. The new Rebel with the Ram horn grille is the best looking model in the new RAM line-up.

LOL innovation huh? Like an over engineered man step? Or a feature for the metros that backs your trailer up for you if you don't know how?

Innovations are only necessary when the rest of the truck is too mediocre to sell on its own merits. That's when you pile on "innovations" like 12" screens, frame vibrators, etc.

Haha.

it's a better time for guys who want a new Honda Ridgeline.

It's growing on me, I usually like the paint matched front end but I think I will have to get the chrome one this time as it makes it look a little more trucky and less minivanish.

The more I see this new Ram the more I like it. True it does not have the big rig styling of the current and past Rams but the design grows on you.

It looks more like a Ridgeline now.

The Rebel has got to be the ugliest truck out there now. The new Ram looks like a Ridgeline.

This is the RAM that will out sell Chevy!!!!

This is the RAM that will continue to break down more than the Chevy!!!!

Fixed!!!

When the Chevy guys answer back like that and false post you know they're

, Worried

It looked better with a bag over its head. Not a fan of the hood label. Is '1500' suppose to be bragging rights? I thought a half ton was an entry level pickup.

Jeez , the badge on the hood is supposed to have engine size, what is Fiat doing? I want aggressive looks in a pick up, not some truck/SUV hybrid look. The new Chevy looks so much more aggressive then Ram and Ford now. Used to be Dodge always had a nice ,tough truck look. Fiat ruined my Favorite truck. Shame on them.
