Best-Selling Pickup Trucks: February 2018

1 2018-PUTC-Sales-Header[5]A1 II

Due to a combination of rough weather and a cooling housing market in parts of the country, February was something of a mixed bag for pickup truck sales. Ford continued its modest domination in the full-size class, with Ram and the Chevrolet Silverado taking a big hit for the short month. The GMC Sierra continued its slide as well, having the worst start to the year of any of the full-size players. While Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan (both the half ton and the XD) numbers slid a bit compared with January, their year-over-year increase continued.

Mid-size pickups continued to do well, with the Toyota Tacoma leading the class by a healthy margin and the Chevrolet Colorado and Nissan Frontier pushing good numbers, relatively speaking. Both the GMC Canyon and Honda Ridgeline struggled to improve their numbers over February 2017, where both seemed to have peaked.

Ford at the top again. Beats the full sized GM twins by almost 20,000 in 2 months.

They've been beating those two dead horses for decades.

@ Frank

They haven't beaten anything. Ford hasn't had a solid truck since the mid 90s when they had the 7.3 power stroke, Windsor motors, and inline 6 motor.

The 5.4L was junk and 4.6L was pretty reliable but under powered...along with your 2 junk 6.0L and 6.4L diesel engines that had more issues than YOU DO Frank!!

It just shows that Ford has a TON of brand loyalist's that don't care if their trucks break down. It shows how intelligent u are to stay with a company that lies constantly about HP/TQ...yet never lives up to it!

Your comment forgot to mention the lame brakes that has kept Ford service departments busy for decades.

Take your idiotic mentor with you.

@frank

seriously? Please find anyone who will stand up for the crappy brakes Ford's cars and trucks have suffered with for the last 30 years. Leaks, warped rotors, ABS issues...

What truth, no matter how you slice it, the 5.4L and 4.6L and great engines, heck, NY TAXI Co. buy old police cruisers and convert them into TAXI's with 4.6L P.I.

You know nothing, go rinse out your junk because it's already rusting.

You're clueless and should seek medical attention.
