2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Video: A Closer Look

Screen Shot 2018-08-26 at 9.18.54 PM

As we wrote in our First Drive impressions, the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 will likely make many loyal GMC customers quite happy with the pickup truck's improvements and innovations. However, we'll have to wait and see how well GMC's top-of-the-line Denali trim stacks up to the competition.

Given the unique situation of the all-new Sierra 1500 and its sibling 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we thought we would take a closer look at how these two players compare and how well their differences are emphasized. We share our impressions in this video, which takes a closer look at the new truck.

Great looking truck. I was wrong at first about it and apologize to TNT for being such an azz hat over the past few days.

Ugly. Looks like it wants to be a Tundra.

Great location and photography!

The look of it makes me want to vomit.

great review. Still like the looks of my 18 better.

Terrible looking! I'll stick to my '14 Chevy LS.

The older ones are not as nice as this one. But then again GM folks hate change, thats why it takes so long for GM to catch up to Ford. I am not sure why they are trying to copy Toyota now, I guess since they failed copying Ford, onto the next one.....

Doesn't matter. Both the 18 & 19 are turds.

@ BA

Another useless both! Way to go!

My 18 turd will blow the doors off anything you own!

BTW....for the 3rd time....what do you drive?

@ Nitro

just bc I like the looks of an 18 over a 19 doesn't mean I don't like change. You ASSume to much...typical Ford guy

Any body who likes the features of the new GM trucks and buys an ugly Silverado over this truck is brain dead like TNTGMC.

I think GM took features from Tundra, F150 and Titan and came of with this Sierra. And that wheel well, it's just awkward to have half a angle like that.

I like the bed design though, widening was a great idea and the tailgate features too is very nice.

The most advanced pickup in the world, period(especially when it gets the Durmaxs)

TNT- i got one on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Ramrod

Brain dead?? lol, so me liking the design of my 18 over the 19, And anyone else who likes a Silverado over a GMC is Brain dead??

You must be one of those guys that also spews nonsense, you will fit right in with this gang of hoodwinks here. Welcome!

Denali occupies the top spot of the dream truck list.

Might be time for a trade in.

The 2014-2016 years and 2003-2006 years where the ugliest for Chev Silverado

@ drools

Hey guys I can copy, cut, paste out of internet but I can't find facts to back up my claims.. Pathetic!

It looks terrible and outdated.

Denali occupies the top spot of the dream truck list.
Not so !
The Ford Limited hold the top spot. All you have to do is read the reviews or look beyond the GM dealership you are trapped in.

Prove that Ford sells more limited models.

@GMSRGAY

Unlike you claiming “ More Denali sold than Limited “, I didn’t say anything so preposterous

The onus is on you to prove your assertion. You made the claim, back it up with proof.

Otherwise, like the other over the top GMShill here, you’re a liar too.

It appears that BA has taken over the leader of the Ford Shills fan boy club from Stanky Franky himself. LOL

@GMS..., last week when you made that horrible “menstrating” comment, you dubbed yourself the “collector of fools”. Who voted you in when you were around the gm kool-aide dispenser?

You should apologize for that horrible comment..., prove that you are better than that since you can’t prove your baseless comment to BA.

You’re the self proclaimed leader? How arrogant.

@GMS

Since you make the claim, are you going to answer the darn question and prove yourself correct?

Or are you going to tuck your tail, deflect and run in shame?

You’re the self proclaimed leader? How arrogant.

Why do need to prove anything? I didn’t post anything that needs proving....unlike you.

Anybody got any Preparation H?

The first thought I had when I saw the first image was "FORD HEADLIGHTS!!!". The modern automotive circlejerk continues on and on, this time with GM trailing behind Ford, though to be somewhat fair, Ford did the same thing with the new expedition vs the suburban-yukon.

Regardless of looks the main issue is this: it has no manual transmission option, so its garbage.

Prove that Ford sells more limited models.

You want to know why I know the Denali sells more than the "Limited".
Ford God sake, it is written right in the name of the Ford. Can't figure out? Checked the parentheses. If for some reason you still don't understand, them open your eyes and look around.

*edit

Forgot to add the front badging in front of the mirror, and the slight bend in the rear window just before it goes vertical...FORD!!!!!!!

Watch in a few years Ford adds integrated steps in the tailgate just like GM, perhaps they'll move their 4x4 knob over left like GM, or hell, just remove the low range altogether.

@GM ain't so great.
Turns out Denali ain't so great. Have read and learn, or as some like to say "open your eyes look around"

Ford F Series Limited is the top, to which others aspire. Get out and look around.Drive a limited and the word Denali will fall from your vocabulary.

Promising to be the most impressive car in 2019

I have driven Ford's and the magnetic shocks available on the Denali embarrasses it.

Remember when Ford F-150's were work trucks? Now they're truck shaped cars with weak beds and weaker 4-wheel drives. The Limited might appeal to the guys that get manicures but they don't really impress those of us that want a tough truck, not a fashion accessory.

The Ford girls on here must feel really threatened. Maybe they saw the headline today.

I was just about to post something almost identical to this. Who cares about whether the limited sells more Or less then the Denali? Both vehicles are for rich boys who never have to get their hands dirty or work on their own trucks.

Amen Rammins! My 2016 F-150 XLT's 4x4 went out 3 times in one winter. It took a couple weeks to get the parts each time and the service manager said it was because so many of them were having issues. I guess the grinding noise was a plastic piece inside the front hubs that locked in 4 wheel drive. I can't believe they use plastic for that! No wonder they fail so much.

Now I get it. Owning an F150 is for guys who like to fix stuff that broke...right?

My Silverado just runs and runs. No fixee, no brokee. Just runs.
