2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Mojave Sand Special Edition Released

RAM-2500-PowerWagon-Profile-3 copy II

The newest special edition to the Ram lineup is the 2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Mojave Sand package, which will offer a new body and wheel color combination for an extra $795. The package is available now and will include all the standard features we've come to know that all Power Wagons offer, such as the 2-inch-taller suspension, front and rear locking differentials, a 12,000-pound integrated winch, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires and the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8.

Other Mojave Sand limited-edition features include an all-black interior and the Heavy Duty Luxury Group package with LED bed lighting, overhead console power, heated and folding mirrors, and a universal garage door opener. Of course, the new color (which was the fastest-moving color for the light-duty Ram 1500 Rebel) will be unique to the special package, as will the all-black wheels.

The Ram 2500 Power Wagon Mojave Sand is only offered as a crew-cab 4x4 and will start at $56,525 with destination, but don't hesitate if you have any thoughts about getting one — Ram is only making 1,500 of these packages, so they won't last long.

Great truck in so many ways but that nose was surely designed by a government committee. There should be a vigorous aftermarket for that mess.

Its a nice Fiat.

I also personally thing that grille is the ugliest design ever put on a truck. Have they ever seen a leafnose bat?

Doesn't matter what edition it is,
it is still a lot better than a Raptor
that sells you on fast off-roading and
supplies you will a faulty rear end
suspension and creeking roof and
plastic 4wd system and a short life
engine all wrapped up in a heavy and
too-wide and sagging platform.

no serious off-roader would select any kind of p/u truck as their choice of vehicle ...approach/departure angles are all wrong...to high of a CG...weight/balance severely disproportional ect....

How about a special edition with a battery pack and electric drive motors that are more powerful than a diesel and more efficient with 20 inches of ground clearance and a 2000Lb payload with hydro-pneumatic suspension like what Bollinger has built. Whooohoooo a new paint color on a 50 year old platform, I am so excited I am on my way to the bank!!!

I agree that nose is unattractive. Only thing it needs is black lug nuts, those chrome ones are hideous on a blackout wheel/truck.

I had a real power wagon back in the day, 4wd, locking hubs,2 door short=bed with 440cu in and 4 speed on the floor. Put 35inch ground hawgs on it with out a lift.

billtravers, sorry yoou had bad luck with your Raptor, my ZR2 is da-bomb, try one out.

Paint and sticker engineering.

It's needs 35s, it looks wimpy.

I like the color, probably keeps the dust from showing up too prominently, though I am generally of the mindset that an off-road vehicle should stand out against the terrain for safety reasons. The RAM and POWER WAGON block lettering looks tacky. The all black interior will be too hot and show dust and dirt right away.

All in all I like it but not really. The wheels look nice though. But not for $800 more.

NUTS.
STORIES.
YOU COULDN'T PAY ME ENOUGH TO BE SEEN IN THAT UGLY THING.

@Jman- the most serious off roaders have work to do off road. I’ll take a pickup every time when it comes to doing work.

Only 1500? Do they even sell 1500 power wagons a year, I'b bet they'd sell 412 of these.

It's a Halo vehicle like the Raptor. It's not meant to be a volume seller. The design and engineering are pretty well done so any "Special Editions" of power wagon are probably only going to be paint and stickers. It's hard to improve on.

That's like saying you don't have a freckle on your butt. Who cares?

The discussion is about 3/4 pickups, specifically the Power Wagon. Beats the hell out of the Sentra that you're driving these days.

FAKE NEWS

RAM TRUCKS ARE CLASS LEADING IN ALL SEGMENTS

Ha,Ha, Furd & Chebby ain't got nothing on this off road legend. True Military truck unlike Furds wanna bee. lol
Ram is the first name in 4x4. Absolutly luv my 15 Prospector power wagon and have wanted one since i was 6 when my dad test drove one. Tows my 10,000 lbs tow hauler off road soft sand dunes where Furd & Chebby's don't dare to go. lol Seen pics of guys towing R.V's in feet of snow. The truck of trucks. A lot of pavement pounders out there so they don't sale a ton of them. With one ton axles and an 11.5 inch ring gear this baby is almost bullet proof. Hill decent is my favorite feature. Drives itself down steep snow or mud covered hills. I have pulled and winched Furds and Chebbys and Jeeps out. Started charging them after the ninth recovery in the same day. When you absolutly have to get there wind,rain,sleet,mud & snow this is your truck. Lots of posers out there. This is the real deal. For over 70 years civilian market. It's the only vehicle made whith a 12,000lbs winch.

I find it odd you didn’t whine in your meds about the commenter here bashing the Raptor...it’s not a 3/4 ton pick up.

Actually I’m not surprised one bit. After all, you’re a two bit hypocrite.

@Brick

Who cares? Your impact here is zero. I'm being charitable even reacting to you.

You were neglected as a child. Get over it. It's a common condition but you're hung up about it. Millions of people have endured with your problem but you are fixed on it.

Have a good cry and move on.

your the one who's impact on here is ZERO, you have got to be the most annoying, ignorant, Phuck on this site next to TNT, both your comments are useless,

@Ford rules

Please. Share something useful with the rest of us. Your comments are so wise and thoughtful. We are not worthy.

@ ford drools

Really. Look at your comments, along with your fellow ford guys. They have done nothing but bash this comment thread and the GM one from yesterday!

Dont be hypocritical! We all bust each others chops a bit!

You are right, my friend. Maybe we could meet for lunch and chat for a bit to work through our differences. Dutch treat of course! :)

@ ford drools

Sounds good. I'll never pass up a lunch! And alittle brand bashing always leads to great conversations!

I'd take a Power Wagon over a Craptor any day. I love my 2012 Ram Power Wagon as it does everything I ask it to do with no issues whatsoever.

The PW is a true off roader, where the Raptor is made for high speed desert running. The articulating front suspension, front 12K lbs winch and locking diff's are made for the Canadian Arctic where I live.

That's an ugly truck. The grill is ridiculous. The tailgate is atrocious, the decals are childish and the paint color is horrible.

You broke papajim Brick! Bravo and good on you.

Cheers

@BA

Did you and Brick pick out the furniture and drapes for your new "cabin" at the sheep station yet?

Thanks for solidifying my point papajim.

@BA

I need to make another appointment with you for a bleaching. The last session didn't get it light enough to suit my significant other.

Thanks,

Frank
