Ram Brings Harvest Edition to 2018 Chassis Cabs

2019 Ram Chassis Cab Harvest front three quarter copy II

Ram announced that it's bringing the Harvest Edition trim to its medium-duty chassis-cab work trucks. The Harvest Edition debuted on Ram's full-size 1500, 2500 and 3500 in 2017. Designed to celebrate the trucks' agricultural roots, the Harvest Edition will begin to appear in the chassis-cab 2018 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 lineup this fall.

The medium-duty Harvest Edition comes with functional features such as larger front tow hooks, extra transfer case skid plates (4x4 models only), a rear backup camera and tube side steps for easier access. Other standard features include the 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen, 4G Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto cellphone connectivity, Sirius Weather and Ram's 7-inch reconfigurable center information screen between the speedometer and tachometer. The interior boasts an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel and power-sliding rear window (crew cabs only). Exterior Harvest Edition details include a chrome grille, door handles, mirrors and side steps along with polished aluminum wheels.

Harvest Edition chassis cabs will be offered on Ram 3500 models in both single- and dual-rear wheel configurations and for 4500 and 5500 dually models in regular- and crew-cab lengths. Engine choices will be the larger 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 and the turbo-diesel 6.7-liter Cummins inline six-cylinder.

The 2018 Ram 3500 Harvest Edition will start at $45,685, the 4500 at $49,835 and the 5500 at $50,935; prices include destination fees. Available colors for the farm-friendly chassis cabs include Case IH Red, New Holland Blue, Brilliant Black and Bright White. The medium-duty Harvest Edition is slated to go on sale in October.

Not a bad package. Its all stuff I would want under most circumstances anyway (except the chrome door handles). Don't know how much more it costs/saves versus getting these items via other packages or single options.

Isn't it September? If you're announcing something, shouldn't it be for the 2019 model year?

Now watch TNTGMC and the rest of the GM and Ford fanboys cry a river!!

I was side tracked by the second sentence
"The Harvest Edition debuted on Ram's full-size 1500, 2500 and 3500 in 2017. "

so is there a mid-size or extra full size 1500,2500 and 3500 Ram truck?

when we worked the wheat, milo and corn harvest, all we needed to know is which grain elevator to take the grain to and who had the beer, while we waited in line at the elevator...

not sure why you need a back up camera as the elevators are drive through

@ Hemi Rampage

That's your opinion

GM still leads Ram in all performance categories in both half ton and HD trucks. Now thats class leading!!

Ram leads GM in sales of 3/4 and 1 ton.

@ fif

I said performance! Thats what matters to me! I buy a truck to perform. And GM trucks do that the best

Not sales.

Only in your mind. Such a small place.

Ram leads GM in sales of 3/4 and 1 ton.

Love to see some numbers showing either way.

@ fif

Have u not read the recent HD comparisons.

The Duramax has won those performance categories!

Wow. Your mind is small and single!

They need to add like a 2" mud flap to keep that skinny line of dirt off the door.

Good welding Rig as well,

@Dave- even though we all did without them until recently, backup cameras are handy as hell for hooking up trailers, especially by yourself.
