PML Flightlink and their assembly partner, DST Industries in Romulus, Mich., have finished building the all-electric Hi-Pa Ford F-150 just in time to ship it to Las Vegas for the start of SEMA next week. Here's the first picture of the completed truck.
The Hi-Pa F-150 uses four wheel mounted electric motors to propel the pickup instead of an internal combustion engine. Energy for the motors is stored in a 40-kilowatt lithium-ion battery, mounted where the fuel tank used to be, giving the truck a 75 to 100-mile range.
