SEMA 2008 Preview: Pontiac G8 ST Concept
Pontiac is showing off an accessorized version of the upcoming 2010 G8 ST at SEMA.
The exterior of Pontiac’s Australian-built sport truck has been painted "Liquid Hot" and sprayed with extra clearcoat to help it shine under the Vegas lights. It’s also been lowered and shod with 20-inch wheels to give it a tough street-racer stance.
Inside, the G8 ST receives upgraded leather seats with red inserts and a matching steering wheel and shift knob, borrowed from Pontiac's 402-horsepower, 6.2-liter LS3 V-8-powered Pontiac GXP sedan.
Unlike the GXP, the six-speed automatic, 6.0-liter V-8-powered G8 ST doesn’t have any powertrain upgrades. The stock Gen IV eight-cylinder engine is rated at the same 361 hp and 385 pounds-feet of torque that U.S. buyers can expect to drive home in the car-truck late next year. Pontiac says the naturally aspirated, unchipped 6.0-liter V-8 will propel the G8 sport truck from zero to 60 in 5.4 seconds, which should make it the fastest production pickup on the planet when it arrives.

Reminds me a little of the old Chevy ElCamino. A good idea now for someone that dosen't really need a full time truck.
