NTEA Work Truck Show Coverage Starts Next Week

If you thought the 2009 Chicago Auto Show highlighted trucks, you haven't seen anything yet.

We're returning to the Windy City to cover the 2009 National Truck Equipment Association Work Truck Show, March 4-6. It's North America's largest commercial truck convention. Thousands of vocational, government and private fleet managers and truck buyers will meet with hundreds of manufacturers, distributors and dealers in the Class 1-8 market segments to learn about the newest truck products. There will also be education seminars and specialized training sessions including: a green truck summit, a green truck ride-and-drive and hybrid and alternative fuel curriculum. Mike Rowe of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs is giving the keynote address.

Given the deep slump in commercial and residential construction and truck sales, continued emphasis on environmental awareness and the recent passing of the $787 billion federal stimulus package, it's expected to be one heck of a convention. We'll be there to bring it to you direct under our "NTEA" tagged posts.

It is very nice to see that even big truck and automotive companies, boom trucks, crane trucks, etc,etc switching over to going Green. Everyone has to play there part and this is a great example of how to do it.
