Mahindra Given Approval To Use TR20, TR40 Names

The United State Patent and Trademark Office has given India's Mahindra & Mahindra approval to use the TR20 and TR40 names in the U.S. for its upcoming diesel-powered regular and crew cab pickups, according to the USPTO's website.
The 2.2-liter inline four-cylinder diesel pickups are expected to go on sale in February. Mahindra's U.S. distributor says the small haulers will have fuel economy ratings as high as 30 mpg and 1.3-ton hauling capability. Across the country, 345 dealers have signed up to sell the trucks.

how can I find out where the 345 dealers are?
Some of the dealers are listed here: http://mahindratruckblog.com/

Good luck,
I have emailed them several times.with my real e-mail address. Never got an answer.
My guess is that in February we will have to drive around and hope we find a dealer with a M&M sign our front.
It's amazing that trucks from a country famous for call centers can't even respond to e-mails.
That regular cab, longbed with a 4 banger diesel is going to be a popular model. 30mpg and the ability to haul 1.3 tons. That's a smart option for work.
It looks like they're putting that huge Mihnandra logo back on it.
That's ok with me. I was going to put a red dot in the top middle of the windshield.
My wife told me I could only put it there if I made it a smiley face. LOL
Just what I was waiting for! A 70's Chevy Luv at a 2009 price! I'll keep driving my Silverado, thanks just the same.
Clearly, this styling is aimed at the young men with testosterone breath looking for a truly unique chick magnet.
Not exciting but gets the job done.
"truly unique chick magnet"
I almost fell off my chair. Your standards must be pretty low Don? Clearly the only good looking feature of this vehicle is its diesel heart, and its performance remains to be seen.
Greg, my actual feelings on this vehicle is that it's so ugly it could make a freight train take a dirt road.
Ya, i was hoping you were being sarcastic. It definitely is a butt-ugly truck. Hopefully its powerplant will be a gem and force the other truck manufacturers to rethink their stand on small diesels.
I don't think it ugly. It is not like American trucks are all that pretty. In fact American cars are some of the ugliest cars ever made. I can't think of one American car I would ever want to buy. The only one that looked semi nice was Pontiac and that is gone now. The power plant here is really good so I think they have a chance. Indian auto exports now are great than China. There is something they are doing right. And Land Rover and Jaguar have the best power plants they have ever had in 2010. This is after
Does this diesel require exhaust urea? The looks wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Piss would.
Awesome idea to have a diesel in a medium pickup...I hope GM and Ford get on the wagon and join in with a mid-size diesel truck. The body of this Mahindra instantly reminds me of a late 70's early 80's Ford Courier on steroids.. and I love the idea of a "red dot" in the middle of the windshield...to funny!!
So they changed the name from "Scorpio Getaway" to "TR-Series" ?
Well, I hope it does well here in the US. Would make a great little farm truck to run around in.
