Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson and Raptor Pickups Spotted For Sale in China
Our friends at Jalopnik are covering the 2010 Beijing auto show and came across the very unusual sight of two new 2010 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson and SVT Raptor pickups for sale in China. There's no word on how the trucks were imported into the country or how many have been sold, but we found the website of the company selling them to check out the asking prices.
Tianjin Free Trade Zone International Trade Co. Ltd. Ka Shuai says the Harley F-150 is priced at 798,000 yuan ($116,888) and the Raptor is priced at 720,000 yuan ($105,463).
Those are some steep premiums over the Harley's U.S. starting price of $44,330 and $38,995 for the Raptor, including a $975 destination fee. We're going to hope that destination fees are also included in the Chinese prices.

I am from canada and i am happy that america is exporting its trucks overseas i am a ford guy. Good job ford for selling yours trucks to other markets !!! To long canada and usa have been dumping grounds for imports
you should have a look at how much the F-series trucks are selling for in Australia! check out www.carpoint.com.au
" you should have a look at how much the F-series trucks are selling for in Australia! check out www.carpoint.com.au"
If they were built in RHD, that price would come down dramatically. Seeing the Aussie Dollar is worth 93Cents to the US Dollar as far as current trading cvalues go. They would panic here if it went above the US Dollar.
the two trucks are so out of place....china?
yeah!!..now that hummer is gone...they might see some profit.....
Thats still cheaper than they would be in Australia...=/
By the way Robert Ryan,
Compliance and quarantine etc costs upwards of $30,000 and with the new importation tax on luxury vehicles, a new Lincoln Navigator costs above $200,000 (no joke) as i was told by a guy who got one before the taxes came in.

Getting ridiculous, when you consider our dollar is not much different to the US dollar.
Wait till Obama raises the gas to $10 a gallon in his go green initiative..(cap and trade other green b.s taxes) China will be the only place to drive a truck..
its good ford is tn china, they need to try a good car or pickup for a change. If obama was for the people he would not let the price of oil go that high, His way is tax tax tax this country into the green, people wont have the money to buy gas, tobacco, pop,or any thing for only the rich people will be able to buy.
A Red Raptor for Red China. Who says capitalism doesn't work.
If i was to buy and then import a raptor from america i would be up for roughly as follows $38000 u.s $5k shipping $15k import tax customs etc $20k lhd conversion plus extras . Roughly $80k, to get vehicle landed and converted to full compliance in australia. Companies are selling them in australia for $120k, are making $40k profit, that aint bad for a couple months work. A husband and wife can import one vehicle each per year. lets say you had the cash to buy to vehicles land them convert them etc sell one vehicle keep the other it would pay for a hefty chunk of the other vehicle you would have a car that would potentially hold a decent resale value do that every couple of years and you would basically have a good vehicle replaced cheaply evrey couple of years
dickie you are right people are making good money over here in Oz importing these trucks and selling them. Some low 2000 year models still asking up to 100k which is just stupid in my opinion.
not all these truck imports are treated as "luxury" and wont get the tax. i.e a 2007 second hand F150 bought at $13,500 us so at current dollar Aus dollar just a bit more for us. No way is that getting the luxury tax!
RHD conversion: there are different levels of quality, some upward of 35k if done in Aus. Maybe the smater way which Im looking at is to get it converted in US before importing. There are guys who do Aus compliance. Shouldnt affect import tax cause it was after the purchase.
