Just a year and a half after opening its doors, well-known Southern California diesel repair house OC Diesel Shop celebrated its booming business with a party for its customers this past weekend.

“We started in 2008, and since then we’ve had to double the size of our garage,” said Bud Anderson, OC Diesel’s founder. “The party was a chance to give back to our customers. It’s some good news in a down economy.”

More than 400 people attended the event, which included a portable dyno where high-powered oil burners showed off tons of horsepower and torque. Chevy Silverado, Dodge Ram, Ford F-Series Super Duty and GMC Sierra owners all had a good time.

OC Diesel has five mechanics that specialize in Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke engines. The shop is in Mission Viejo, Calif., and it’s worth checking out if you have a diesel repair need for your heavy-duty pickup or if you want to add more power with an aftermarket mod.

@Fred

"The best looking heavy-duty pickup available"?

Hmm, Isnt the "Super-duty" design still the same one from 10 yrs ago?

Chevy Man, the answer is yes.

Even though the truck pretty much has the same design and dimensions, and went through a few diesel engines over the years (one engine turned out to be for the most part a P.O.S (6.0L), and the other a total fuel hogg(6.4L)), somehow it still continues to drastically outsell the competition.

Isn't that Ford the "Joan Rivers Special Edition"? Just keeps getting face lifts every year, new Dogde is much better looking.

not tryin to bash, im a chevy guy and my best friend, a ford guy, we agree ford sells so many super dutys because its a completly diff design, if it still looked like an f150, i dont think itd sell as well, if i were to buy a ford not knowing anything about them and based it off looks, id choose the SD

@chevy man no, it isn't. the chassis was heavily updated in both 2005 and 2008 and now 2011. its front and rer end look similar to the 08's, but better. plus, their new engine is beast.

@ chevy man can you explain to me what is so completely different about the design on the gm trucks. To me they dont look totally differnt from the 90's. Dodge is really the only one that looks really different. Besides its actually fairly hard just to tell the 1500 from the 2500 gm.

"five mechanics" WoW

@ Chevyman

No its not. Dont try to hate because Chevy doesnt have a nice model like the King Ranch that I will never be able to afford.
