What's the Heaviest Trailer You've Ever Towed?

Now that Toyota has decided to rate its trucks' maximum towing capacity according to new industry guidelines, we started wondering: What's the heaviest trailer that you've ever towed with your pickup? Do you regularly pull massive loads? Let us know how big and what kind of truck you're using. Let's see who can say they tow the most.

I have a 1989 F-350 5.9 cummins fuller 15 speed 40' 3 axle duel wheel trailer hauled a cab over dump truck scaled at 40tho 720# did have a bit of heat proplem on the rear end on the 8% grades.

2003 F150 5.4 towed a 10.500 pound fifth wheel. Way over Fords safety recommendations but it did it damn well!

My dad and i haul for a living selling and runing hay my dads got a 2007 dodge dually 4x4 6spd standard with a stock 6.7 cummins, now my dad used to be a wide load hauler in big rigs, heavier the better he say, so it wasnt out of the ordinary for im to over load is truck the max load he ever hauled top the scales on a 42'ft flat bed trailer just trailer and load was at 43,000pds and the truck till was able to do 60-65 on a straight run and maybe drop down to 45 on a incline, a saw him pull out of a drive started moving was aprotion a incline hit third hit the incline shifted up to forth and was still gaining speed goin up the incline with the 43,000pd load and if im lieing im dieing but i'll say im dodge all the way and i believe that the way you should test a truck with real loads lick that!!!

i have a 2005 dodge 3500 drw 5.9 ltr and on regular basis haul a trailer loaded with 21,900 lbs and drive across country.
mileage 15.5 mpg braking awesome and handles very well

2012 Ford F-450 Crew Cab Lariat edition, 6.7 twin turbo b2 motor, with the gooseneck tow package, 36ft tri axel enclosed race trailer, the trailer which included built in lift, built in tool boxes and several other add-ons fully loaded with 2 race sleds, and 2 four wheelers.

1986 F250 with the 6.9 IH. gross weight of truck and trailer was just under 20,000 lbs. not to much except that i have over 500,000 miles on this truck and i was pulling that load from anchorage alaska to central texas. no issues, truck still rolling right alaon at 540,000 miles now.

I bought the new 2014 Ram HD with the 6.7L I6 350HP and 850 LbFt torque a month ago. This truck is a beast towing 30K with ease. It pulls like you are pulling nothing lol! It has been getting 16 mpg highway which is not bad. My friends and me tow hay and our combines with ease. I tipped out once at 44,300 GCWR!!! The truck took it a bit rough through the gears with each loud exhaust note for each shift. Hopefully Ram HDs will up their numbers to 475HP and 925lb ft torque to boost their GCWR to 40K to compete with Ford's newer ratings.

my ford 2008 f250 pull 22 ft. Boat on tandem axle trailer? F250 has a v 10 with 28000 ml. A have had the suspension Built up extra spring in rear end bigger shocks all around .Boat weight s 3500bls .

I pulled A 55 FT custom built goose neck trailer loaded with 550 bales of wet hay. the BALES WEIGHED 75 pounds each plus the trailer that weighed 12,000 lbs dry. that put me at 62,402 pounds with the truck, trailer, hay. The truck is a 2015 F550 Ford 6.7 TURBO DIESEL 440 HP 860 FT. LB of torque stock. I towed the hay for 125 miles mostly steep uphill grade.

(Space Village 1) would need at lees 10,250. pounds? of towing with a 5th wheel?

The heaviest load that I was around to pull was a 22' dual axel goose neck cattle trailer loaded down with 16 head of full grown horses and two Foals. I have no idea how much it weighed, but it was heavy. I towed it with a Ram 2500 Crew Cab, short bed with an in bed Goose neck hitch. The truck was a six speed manual, which i feel helped a little bit due to the fact that I could regulate the rpm's a little bit better. To my estimation the total trailer + horse's weight was around 18,800 pounds.

Went to get some hay with my uncle this weekend I'm thinking we take both our trucks both trailers we would get some faster. I know my 01 f250 with the 5.4 can haul 12 round bails. He has a 2017 f250 with the 6.7 hooked to a big tex 32ft gooseneck tandem axle. I left empty he left with 24 round bails and it was hard to keep up with him hailing 30k at the least bone stock. Big surprise for me.
