VWerks and Jay Leno Talk Jeep Pickup

Screen Shot 2012-02-13 at 11.37.18 AM
In our earlier test drive of the VWerks Jeep JK8 we told you the vehicle spent some time with late-night talk show host Jay Leno. Well, the video episode is now up on www.jaylenosgarage.com.

The guys at VWerks brought the Red Jacket JK8 to Jay's secret playground and it looks like he took a pretty hard shine to the little pickup. Clearly Mr. Leno hasn't driven many 4x4s but he seemed to enjoy his time with the custom pickup conversion.

Sure, there's a lot of talking here, and some of it is a little difficult to understand, but it will give you a closeup look of the Jeep. Click here to see more.

@Johnny Dose - where are the pictures of the odometer? or did your dad hide the keys to the truck?

Back on topic - I'd love to spend a week hanging out with Jay Leno.

@JohnnyDoe,

I laughed my a$$ off, that was too funny, the sign especially, thanks for the laughs. I will have to post a pic of my Silvy.

@Frank,

I miss my Wrangler TJ ALOT, very fun vehicle, the new ones sucked until they put the good motor in them this year, I was super tempted to pick up a 2 door rubicon with color matching red top, the dealer was coming 3500 off sticker on that one for some reason and barely moving on the others in stock and not sure why, still was 32K and wasn't loaded!

I saw a really cool episode with Jay Leno and his Syclone, check it out.

@ Mr. Obvious No problem i thought it was funny too. The trolls just never learn. lol

@ johnny doe your the JKass TROLL ... TOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I owned a used 80's-era Jeep Pioneer pickup truck and still see it being driven by its current owner. Love'm or hate'm, they were very popular in their day and easy to repair and keep running. Maybe that's why AMC quit making them. Not enough repeat sales.

As the owner of a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4 I would like to see Jeep come out with a little 4-door 4X4 pickup truck based on the current Jeep Grand Cherokee, and utilizing the same suspension and drive trains, except with the body-on-frame.

No multitude of choices or options, just ONE 4-dr 4X4 pickup truck based on the current Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 6ft bed behind the rear doors.

I bet a lot of people would buy one of those.
