New Video: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Towing

Exclusive: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Towing Video

We're beginning to get more info from various sources about recent durability testing for the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. We're told many of the tests — hot weather, towing, deep water and dust filtration — are being done at an old military testing facility just outside Yuma, Ariz., and in the surrounding mountains.

The video here is just a quick look at a hill-climb test under load. We're hoping to get more footage later of the various tests the new truck endured. If you happen to live in or around the Yuma desert, feel free to send us any photos or videos you can get.

Why don't you people wake up and see what is really happening. I am in the auto business and I work on these vehicles every day. Ford,gm dodge are more than 70percent china. Look it up. All the parts today are from mex, canada, china Germany, etc. parts are from other countries so why do they say it's american..... All these companies are in the same boat. All Americans are good for is just installing these parts. So why doesn't. Everybody start bitching about these foreigners because that is where the problem lies.

Well a little piston slap matters not. I've got 276,000 miles on my 01 5.3. It runs great! It only burns a quart of oil every 6000 miles. The only time my engine knocks is when I'm running low octane cheap fuel. Otherwise that motor runs great and has hardly lost any power. It does pay to run mobile 1. I've run mobile 1 since I bought this truck new!
