Recall Alert: 2012 Honda Ridgeline

Honda is recalling 17 Ridgeline pickup trucks from the 2012 model year because the airbag status indicator on the passenger side may be incorrectly installed, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The vehicles affected by the recall were built on April 18, 2012. (You can check your vehicle’s build date on a sticker on the driver-side doorjamb.) If the airbag status indicator does not work properly, vehicle occupants may not be informed or aware that the front passenger airbag is deactivated and will not deploy in a crash. This could increase the risk of injury to a front passenger-seat occupant who may have chosen to sit or been seated elsewhere in the vehicle if the correct indicator were given.
Honda will notify owners starting Sept. 21, and dealers will replace the indicator for free. Owners can call Honda at 800-999-1009 or NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more info.

17....REALLY ?!! This is NEWS worthy....well i guess, since that is about 50% of their sales :) .....jk
I wonder if we can sue Honda now for excess depreciation on a Ridgeline we may someday buy and try to resell?
17 is about half of their sales for the day. If this was a recall for another maker who does volume, 17 would be same as multiple thousands.
even though it is a fine running vehicle, it needs to be recalled just for it's styling alone! and have someone in America style it without any influence from Japan, the folks in Japan have no cense of style or American tastes in styling, I can't think of more than a handfull of Japanese cars, trucks or motorcycles, that seem to do anything for me, they do make some beautifull musical instruments though exp. Yamaha! I do admit that style is whatever ones own tastes are though.

It's like 0.19%. Not like 50-70% multiple times for various recalls in case of the big three!
It funny that 17 people had this much bad taste in a vehicle.Its almost as ugly as the tundra and thats saying something right there!
The Ridgeline is a truck?
On a camping trip I had to drive one of these from our campsite to the extra car parking lot. The interior was horrible. Harsh, tacky, cheap plastic. Heaps of it. And people give GM grief for interior design? The design was so horrid it actually made my eyes hurt to look upon it. I was glad to be out of the thing.
