Recall Alert: 2014 Ford F-150

Vehicles Affected: About 4,700 2014 Ford F-150 pickup trucks, with more than 90 percent of which are in the hands of dealers or in transit. The affected vehicles were built between May 26 through June 19, 2014, at both the Dearborn, Mich., and Kansas City, Mo., assembly plants.

The Problem: The affected vehicles may have a motor-position sensor magnet in the steering gear improperly located and/or installed by the supplier. The defect could lead to impaired steering or loss of control, which could cause a crash.

The Fix: Ford will replace the steering gear free of charge.

What Owners Should Do: Ford is advising its customers to contact their local Ford dealer as soon as possible to determine if their vehicle is part of the recall.

The recall was 4,700, out of millions made.
We have never had any issues with any of the many F-150's we have owned.
Purchased a 1985 Chevy S-10 Blazer, NEW.
Before 1,000 miles the Transmission went out, the wire on the rear window DE-forger always broke when closing, the speedometer cable always made noise, plus the worst part, it couldn't pass any thing, Ford or anything, no power.
The last Chevy,
Tires are round, Chevy truck wheel wells are SQUARE. Doesn't look correct.

Ford has one recall on their 2014 F-150, 5,900??
One recall on their 2015 F-250.

If you look at the list of recalls, GM & Chevy have several, one after the other.
Toyota has too many to count.
I'm staying with my 2014 Lariat .

My grandmother died last fall due to one of these trucks

Why are these parts failing on American cars, because they are bloody well made in China or some other third World country.
