Chevrolet to Offer 2015 Silverado 1500 Rally Editions
Chevrolet announced it will, again, offer two Rally Limited Edition Silverado 1500s for 2015 in both 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains configurations, double-cab or crew-cab, and with either the 4.3-liter V-6 or 5.3-liter V-8 engines. Of the two, the Rally 2 Edition has the sportier personality with more standard features like a blacked-out grille, door handles and mirrors and a pair of twin black stripes on the hood and tailgate.
The Rally 2 Edition will offer 22-inch wheels and tires while the Rally 1 Edition will be less expensive and offer standard 17-inch wheels and tires. Rally 1 can be ordered in either LS or LT trim levels, depending on how much content the buyer wants his or her pickup to have, while Rally 2 trucks will only be offered in the higher LT trim.
Rally Edition packages can be ordered through Chevy dealers beginning Sept. 4 for double cab models, while crew-cab models will come online in early October. Expect pricing for the Black Bowtie packages to be announced at the end of this month but prices will range depending on what incentives are available in your area.

Probably the best looking grill Chevy has put on their full-size in over a decade. Not nearly as imposing or self-important.
No forced induction, No big V8 power, No special gear ratios not offered on regular trims and Not lowered from the factory. Is this just an appearance package?
Sharp looking truck. For the first time in my life I would actually consider buying red vehicle. This truck looks good in red. I just wonder how would it look like with either red or black headlight trim?
Still not sold on the Silverado, prefer the GMC. Also, I think it would look pretty good in silver.
Sharp looking truck. No 6.2L V8 :-(
I think it mean look to it but I think it would look even meaner if the chrome bumper was the same color as the body.
Still don't like the look of it. If I bought a GM would have to be a Sierra All Terrain.
The Chrome around the headlights needs to be body colored
@Kenny
As well as the bumpers, but otherwise, a good start for a sporty Chev. Ram Express, Ford STX (or Sport Packages for 2015 lineup), look out! Good luck to the Big Three!
Big whoop de doo. Hood stripes, body colour grill and maybe 22'" wheels. No dual exhaust, no body coloured door handles. No handling upgrades. What is the point? More money for GM. I don't mind the general making money but how about a truck for us. What we want and not what marketing thinks we want. My 08 looks more rally than that one. Black truck, black grill with chrome mesh (gm past) black bumpers, black door handles. Oh wait a minute, I am describing a hearse
All the time I look at Chevy, I see 2cars.
2 hoods
2 grills
2 setrs of front lights
Next ,
2 stacked door handles for kids and adults
2 stacked outside rear mirrors for close and far
2 steering wheels for right and left handed
Looks much better with the painted grille. Also, 22 inch wheels? I suppose that trim is for the mall crawlers.
The chrome around the bow tie, headlight bezel and Silverado name plate on door should of been black and bumpers red.
This truck shouldn't be sporting any chrome with the blacked out look.
To sport the chrome look the rims should of been chrome.
Chevy offered the packages as a limited run for 2015 but, based on its popularity, has decided to make it nation-wide for 2015. The Rally 2 Edition is basically (insofar as options and features) similar to the All Star or Texas Edition equipment levels. We're guessing pricing will be only a touch higher than 2014 pricing, meaning somewhere around mid-40s, which does not include incentives or local discounts (which could drop the price as much as $8K).
I got to say they have a good looking truck with no punch! It should have had the 6.2 as a standard power plant and a 3:73 gear and and some different interior touches!
Come on GM give something other than stickers!
That thing looks horrible. A chrome bumper looks out of place with black wheels and body colored grille. The bumpers should have been body colored also. GM's really sacrificed the Silverado in favor of the Sierra going back to 2003. As Silverado sales continue to slide, is it really any wonder why? I'm beginning to think they need to dump Chevy trucks. It may have been the plan all along given the way they've ruined them with poor looks and lack of trims. It's damaged goods now.
Once again, GM half asses something on their trucks!!! What the hell is wrong with them!!! Absolute essentials for this truck:
1. Optional 6.2 liter with special exhaust for bump in H.P.
2. Body colored front and rear bumpers
3. Headlight trim should be body colored as well
4. Suspension upgrade option
5. Interior distinction (e.g. red stitching, special leather, etc.)
It's like GM wants to dip their toe in the water, but never follows through with doing anything right. If they're going to do something, do it right God damnit! I like that they've figured out that these trucks need some "flare" and some different option packages, but half assing them isn't going to help their lazy ass image.

What if GM is saving all of that for the Sierra Rally Edition? GM half-asses the Silverado Rally just so they can save all the good stuff for the Sierra Rally. I don't doubt this is happening. Chevy and Chevy truck fans get hosed again!
I just hope it can make it one week before it gets a recall notice.
As MW stated, you can currently get a 2014 Rally 2 Edition Silverado. They are already on the lots. That's why he said, Chevy will again offer it. Nothing really new or appealing here on these 2015s.
I'll stick with my 395 HP Black Ram Express 2wd Thank You!
They should of offer the 6.2L and color the headlight chrome
I really like the square wheel wells
Ya doesn't rally imply something to do with street performance and racing? So it's going to have a 4.3 or others with 5.3? I geuss rally is in the stickers on the hood. I'd frankly be embarrassed when all the non-rally vehicles pass me when taking off from a red light. The paired stripes just make sure more people notice how slow it is.
Looks weird with black mirror caps, black rims and big ole chrome bumbers and headlight bezels, sort of half baked.
@ devils advocate, needed a government loan for more paint lol
Canada has always had a GFX "Ground effects" package. It started out as a pushbar/running board/box rail package but evolved into body styling and a different instrument facia and stitched seats. It has always been a popular set up.

Nice looking truck--but. A real rally truck would be lowered, 2wd only, regular cab, short bed, with at least the truck 6.2 or maybe the corvette version with at least three available gear ratios, and a 6-speed manual option. The bad part is some people will buy them and GM will think they dun reel good.
The truck looks very nice.
Kudos to Chev for removing the little d!ck big rig grille.
The let down are the rims. Nice shiny 5 spoke rims would be better.
Chrome bumpers don't match the black rims.

Exactly what I was thinking!
LOWRIDER straight from the factory,,may someone at GM grow ballz and do it!
I'm thankful for the blacked-out Bowties, but they didn't go far enough with deleting chrome. Color-key'd bumpers and headlight bezels is what I'm saying. But it's a good start.
@Lou_BC - Nice truck, but I'd have the local pimps tailing me...
This is the cleanest and sharpest new gen Silverado I've seen:

It needs to be black for the look to work. It's the base crew cab, but I'd add my own power window/locks and infotainment/Kickers. A rubber floor and vinyl-knit seats are perfect for my needs.
Chrome everywhere really takes away from its looks. I would pay more for less of it!
Mexican rice! Some real news is coming.

Looking forward to sharing some great Super Duty news in the next week or so. Maybe sooner. :-)
copy-cat, copy-cat, copy-cat from the F-150
just like all the auto makers copy from the Honda Accord-Civic the truck makers copy from the F-150
@DenverIIIMike - I do like the looks of the base model flat black truck especially in dark grey or black.
This truck would look better with black bumpers or colour matched bumpers. i do think it is a decent looking truck.

@FT1 and the rest, I know where you get your opinions from. I'm convinced after recent topic responses that GMinsidenews is nothing but a group of either women, gay men or both. It's really no wonder they are the playground for the GMC Buick crowd. So for you guys dismissing Chevrolet because GM"c" doesn't care about them anymore, I have news for you. SierraGS/Tyler and his chain gang don't call the shots at corporate headquarters. Mary is in charge now and no doubt she's a Chevrolet Motors person unlike Mark and the rest from the past. You watch, Chevrolet will rise from the ashes of the fire GMC set upon them. What was meant to destroy, will be used to Chevrolet's benefit. All we have is our Corvette.. That won't suffice under Mary. And look, I hate GMC just as much as the next guy. They've ruined Chevrolet and robbed us of nearly everything. All I'm saying is give Mary a chance to fix this disaster. If she doesn't, well, Ford and Dodge are always there.

@Mike, No doubt. As usual Chevy gets fisted again by GM/GMC. God I hate that company! I don't know how or why Chevrolet dealers put up with GM/GMC's crap. Chevrolet people have been dumping Chevy daily over this type of nonsense. Why buy a Chevrolet when it's a second rate piece of junk compared to Ford? NO thanks to GM/GMC. No Denali, No good front ends, no AWD in cars, no All Terrain, no marketing period that matters. GM should have closed. Then us Chevrolet fans could have had someone else who cared about Chevrolet buy them.
Does the guy who designed the Aztek still has his hand in these designs?
Dude, ya think? Chevy trucks have been the torch carriers of the Aztec design since what, 2003-2004? Whenever they went to that Japanese front end. Then we had the Mega Flairs of the last models on the bodies. Now we have the Grizwold family truckster! Oh yes, Aztec lives on. Chevy hasn't had a good truck design since the 88-98 truck. They haven't kicked serious ass since 68-72. Though the square bodies from the 80's did have a SFA to save them at least. Why oh why can't Chevrolet pick up where 1972 left off??? For trucks and cars Both! Piss on GMC. Give them the copies like they always got back then.
Why do they put a Grandma step on a vehicle that is already on the ground.....Mexicans have taken over GM it appears......
Please bring back the ss not a hot rod truck out of a spray can!
I have to agree with the comments on the chrome bumpers and chrome around the headlights. I just bought one, black. The plan which will make some people mad, is to Linex the bumpers, paint the chrome around the headlights. Lift it 5" in the front, 3" in the back and put BFG AT KO 285/65r 18 tires and black Beast rims from Worx on it. Add dual exhaust, K&N airflow kit, tuner chip. Then go run the muddy creek bottoms. It was the cheapest 4x4 Silverado on the lot. Keep it Redneck!

Looking at both new models of the chevy 1500 series for 2015 the Midnight series and the Rally (2) are both cool looking and would be a Giant Head turner, please put the 6.2 in the Rally (2) series like the Midnight has.
