Recall Alert: 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCrew
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,600 model-year 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCrew pickup trucks built at the Dearborn Assembly Plant in Michigan between Jan. 22 and March 17, 2015
The Problem: The safety belt assembly may have improperly secured pretensioner cables, which can cause the seat belt pretensioning system to malfunction and fail to hold an occupant in the proper position in the event of a crash. Ford said it is unaware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
The Fix: Dealers will remove and replace the front driver and/or front passenger seat belt retractor and pretensioner assembly, if needed, free of charge.
What Owners Should Do: Ford has not yet released an owner identification schedule. Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 or enter their vehicle identification number here to get more information.

This is a significant recall. I would as soon as possible have Ford rectify the problem.
Not many vehicles are affected, but still a poor quality control issue by the looks of it.
I wonder what else has slipped through the net?
@ Big Al:
The rest of the truck slipped through.. LOL
Alert! Alert!

Aluminum wonder truck has been recalled.
This is a big deal!
Good for Ford. Doing the right thing and recalling and fixing some seatbelt problems. Good they are doing this for the safety of the public, unlike ignition problems that were covered up by another company, Ford is taking care of business.
This is not worth a recall. Should recall the aluminum.. lol
@GMSRGREAT, ha ha ha best comment ever!
How about that PUTC art department? Couldn't they find a stock photo of a SuperCrew instead of a Regular Cab?
Oh noooo
Still waiting for Ford to install the missing steel bars in regular and scab trucks, ie the working man's truck config. Only the city slicker crew cabs get the safety of steel bars in overlap collisions? Safety and quality control have taken a back seat to production numbers and profit margins.
THe seat belt on my ram completely failed. Will not engage. When are they going to recall that?

One of the few times I agree with you.
@GMSRGREAT...hahaha...I too nominate your comment for The Comment of the Year Award....LOL
@shadycharacter, im not sure there going to issue a recall for that seeing as how the single cab still did well enough on the crash test. I would appreciate if they did because i am in one 5 days a week for a couple hours a day at my job . i sure wouldnt mind
It may only be 2600 trucks. But something as important as seatbelts any recall is inexcusable.
Only 2,600 for F-150 is better than the 53,000 2015 Colorados that were recalled for seatbelts.

only reason manufacturers recall their defective devices is for safety reasons it's the law. Many defects aren't recalled. 😁

Actually that is false. There is the safety programs, there are emissions programs, there are also owner notification programs where Ford has recalled vehicles because of common issues and customer satisfaction. There are 2 more that I cannot recall at this time.
