Jay Leno Will Auction His Harley F-150 for Charity
The 2016 Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., will not only feature Steve McQueen's classic Chevrolet pickup truck camper, it also will include one of the most famous 2000 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 pickups.
Comedian Jay Leno, former host of "The Tonight Show" and current host of "Jay Leno's Garage," will serve as auctioneer of the pickup on Jan. 29. Proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Leno's pickup is the only Harley F-150 with a factory SVT Lightning powertrain.
The Ford Harley is one of 11 vehicles being auctioned to benefit charities during the Scottsdale event, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary. There's even a 2015 Chevy Colorado called the "Military Colorado" set to cross the auction block Jan. 28; proceeds from its sale will benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Click here for more information about charity vehicles at this auction.
The auction will be televised on the Velocity and Discovery channels; click here for a schedule. The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auto auction runs Saturday through Jan. 31.

This is a death trap model. Ford should pull this generation off the streets.
Here's the link to Leno's truck. It is a one of a kind truck with only 2k miles on it made to Leno's specifications.

That generation is the most aerodynamic F150 ever made. Love that body style.

Yea then they copied the RAM and made them big and ugly. At least the ram isn't ugly. This style is way nicer than the new 150.
I hope the pickup attracts good money at the auction. MS Society is a good cause.
It would be worth much more if it had a 5 cylinder diesel!
And toyota should be forced to pull all their trucks off American shores.
It would not be worth more with a 5 cylinder diesel. Read the link I provided it is a turbo charged V-8 (the engine was not available in other F-150 Harley editions) and was ordered to Leno's specs. There are other things on this truck that are not on other Harley editions that Leno had optioned. This is a one of a kind truck.
What's the difference between the Lightning engine and the other Harley Davidson F150's? I had a friend in college with one of them, he bought it from an old lady whose husband died, it was nearly identical outside but I thought his had more leather and stitching and emblems on the interior than Jay Leno's, at least that's how I remember it. I'm pretty sure he said his had a factory supercharger, was that not stock? It sure was fast, and my friend drove it like a total jerk. I don't know what they retailed for but he said the old lady sold it to him for $15K. It was maybe one year old and had just a couple thousand miles, nothing wrong with it until my friend beat it half to death. Sad, and I don't even like Fords but I thought that truck was pretty badass.
Anyone know what they originally retailed for in 2000?
They eventually were all supercharged but had 360hp instead of 380 like the lightning. I love this body style of this generation so much!
Is still want a lightning after all of these years!
Only 2k? Probably didn't want the spark plugs to fly out of the head or the exhaust manifolds to crack.
I like watching his show Jay Leno Garage. I hope MS get a 1m for the truck.
You anti FORD guys are crazy. Took me a little while but I really see it now.You guys are comical to say the least.
Shame he doesn't have a good vehicle to donate but I guess getting rid of the turd in the garage makes the Duesenburg smell better. I bid.0000001 cent.
@TJ:
What a low life comments about a charity for Kids with MS. May the flees of a thousand friggin camels infest your.............

Only the anti Ford bashers could take a charity article and turn it into a Ford bash . No different than any other thread but a charity article? Really? These anti Ford trol&LLL&s are such losers. Just wait till they come down with something terminal or life changing and see how their tune changes.

No it's not the most aerodynamic F150 ever made.
@FordCosworth--Since you are the expert what was the most aerodynamic F-150? I am not an expert on the subject but the 1997 thru 2003 F-150 was one of the most aerodynamic trucks of its time. The following generation had a less slopped front end. I personally preferred the more aerodynamic look with not as large a grill but I fully understand why Ford changed the design. Big grills and a more squared look is more popular as are tall tires with less sidewall and large name badges that take up most of the area of the grill and tail gate. I do like Leno's truck and hope that it brings a lot of money.
