Recall Alert: 2016 Ford Super Duty

2016_Ford_Super_Duty_f350.
By Tom Torbjornsen

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,300 model-year 2016 Ford Super Duty pickups manufactured between April 5 and April 10 at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville

The Problem: Tires may have been damaged from a conveyor during assembly; sidewall damage could cause a rupture during use, resulting in rapid air loss and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect the tires for inboard sidewall damage and replace them as needed for free.

What Owners Should Do: The automaker has did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 for more info.

Tire pressure sensors should let you know of a slow leak with them but Katie bar the door if they just go. Ford will handle this one too.

@papajim
Don't play stupd. Nobody cares you have a viaagra on prescription.

I asked about source for your comment you posted.

"Sergio and his team have made a lot of moves lately that are showing signs of weakness. We've all heard about them.

Stockholders do like aggressive steps and moving to a newer larger plant sounds like a progressive approach.

Unfortunately RAM and Jeep are rapidly falling behind and asking buyers (and stockholders?) to wait till damn near 2020 to see some excitement in product development or on dealer lots is too long.

I still expect to see another Asian player introduce a half ton truck to the market in the next few years. Kia and Hyundai are my first pick, but it could be someone like Isuzu or Mitzubishi. No telling.

FCA's weakness is surely very encouraging to the Asians."

Think you are on the wrong thread pal.

This is the ugliest truck on the market. More than half the owners will never drive them. Fleet specials disposable.

Ford issues five recalls for 285,000 N.A. vehicles

Ford today issued five recalls covering a total of about 285,000 vehicles in North America for problems that include transmissions downshifting into first gear at high speeds, poor welding and tires damaged by a factory conveyor belt. The recalls are connected to four crashes and one injury, Ford said.

If you're going to be tr0llin, at least spell correctly as GM owners are illiterate.

Says the guy with the poorest and unsafest truck on the mkt. What a dolt.

All while Fiat recalls over one million vehicles for a shifter that thinks its in park but it ain't. Rolling down the hill. Accidents have been reported and why does the key come out if it aint in park?? Stupid stuff. GM guys have absolutely no room to talk either. They should be a dead company after that ignition switch cover up. Sounds like you guys need to shut your pie holes.

FED UP is right Ford is just as big a POS as the RAM and GM.

Guess that makes you Ford owners feel better...lol

Maybe they should build them in Mexico like the rest of the Ford fleet!

What a gigantic piece of sh**

Pretty funny coming this fan boy. LMAO

Notice any difference between these two companies?

How could the tires get damaged on the assembly line? or were they damaged during the tire manufacturing process? Tires on any HD tend to have a pretty stiff side walls.

@FORD yeah right https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ford_factories

Ford only has 2 factories open in mexico and they barely build any cars

Lou,

This article has different wording that what was sent to all dealers. The tires were damaged before they were delivered to the assembly plant. Based on the pictures they are gouged and torn on the side walls. Almost like the fork lift guy was a newbie.

LMAO - that makes much more sense.

Nonesense, you guys are Ford suckers. BTW the latest recall has 262,000 Ford's on recall; it's all over the web. Why you think people don't check just says you guys know who you play "your strings" to!

This is the ugliest truck on the market.

I'd rather drive one of these ugly trucks than an AEV Prostitute edition. A truck is a tool. You shouldn't buy one to show off and get attention. When you drive down the street, you think people care what you are driving, but nobody cares. Somone really immature buys a jacked up guady $80k aftermarket edition to play with at the beach. You act like a kid who doesn't understand the value of a dollar and threw away a lot of money on that purchase. I'll stick with the ugly trucks.

Typical ford piece of crap!

Good job Ford. It is a relief that some manufactures out there take care of their issues instead of waiting for them to get caught and fined from the govt.

I have posted my comment just once and on different article. Not 4 times. Someone is having a fun and I don't care.

That last post wasn't mine.

I don't care.

Lou is up to his old tricks again.

That last post wasn't me but I agree with it.

Why is it when I see a Ford truck I get a massive erection. Don't get me wrong I will only drive a FCA product but I wish they would make me come as much as a Ford truck does.

What I do like more than a Ford truck is a cowboy in a Ford truck.. makes me want to go RAM RAM on his cowboy but hole.

It's probably just some primal reaction to the feminine aura presented by the f-series round wheel wells.

Come on people it's tires! Cheeez.
So many jealous people here lol.
Targets a lot of trucks because THEY SELL A LOT OF THEM!!!
The best of the business. Always has, always will.
Owned so many trucks from the big three. Ford is the one that holds up.
RAM is stepping up to the game so check your rear view mirror GM girls.

Like I said, I don't care.

Someone is jealous, I didn't bash ford even once in their 2 recall articles.
I guess ford guys must be missing that. Ford won this week over GM in recalls. Don't cry GM horde, your turn will be next week, so you can lead in recalls again.

It's good that ford takes care of their customers. It's even better, that RAM tires doesn't explode at all and trany doesn't shift to the first gear going 75 mph for no reason.

I don't think there is any part left in the ford which wasn't recalled. From air bags, brakes, engine, trany to tires. I know, it's just minor components for some. 0 to 60 with power braking is most important stuff.

Purchased a new Ford F-150 on 6/27/2015 from HemBorg Ford in Norco, Ca. External fan came on a few times as soon as the truck was started while we moved the truck in and out of our shop and would not shut off unless we turn engine off and restarted truck. On September 1 after picking the truck up from getting the decals the battery light came on. The following day I made a phone call up to our local mechanic to see if he could check out why the battery light was on since they are a half mile from where I lived. Pulled the truck out of the shop and let it run for about 30 minutes while I cleaned it to see if maybe the light was on because the truck had been sitting in the shop. I then got in the truck and drove off.

It is about 12 miles from our shop to the local mechanic shop but after getting on the freeway the Sync system notified me. I was going to lose power to some electric powered features or something of that sort. It didn't repeat it. It only said it once so I can't remember exactly. I turned off the radio and air thinking maybe it's a low battery issue. A few minutes later all the indicator lights came on and the truck lost power. I looked in my mirror to get over and to my horror I saw smoke pouring out from under the truck out the back. As soon as I pulled over the smoke was coming out from under the hood as well as flames were starting to come out too. I popped the hood and jumped out looking for my fire extinguisher and in panic could locate it. I ran to the front of the truck and tried to unlatch the hood, but the smoke and flames were pouring out.

How do you know Rambot? Your employer has a nice history of hiding safety issues and allowing their customers to die to save a buck.

Hmmmmm, Fiat had the same recall on their fiat 1500 truck. Only difference is, is fiat downplayed the verbiage. Ford looks like they want to make sure their customers are aware of a potential issue and get them in right away. I'm happy Ford takes safety seriously and not wait for the govt to step in and force a recall because of known big issues.

Your right, Fiat does not have any transmission issues at all. LMAO.

They should recall it over the price tag. Geez.

Of course I am right. Thank you.
RAM doesn't use this 9 speed you posted link for (which issue was fixed a year ago anyway) , but 5 speed, 6 speed and 8 speed.
I never had a recall for my 545 RFE, I don't remember recall for 6 speed, which is almost identical to 5 speed and I don't remember recall for 8 speed , but I could be mistaken.

Feel free to post any link for RAM trany recall.

Nice try LMAO though.

What happened to the Master Brakes Cylinder issue. Did NHSTA finish investigation already?

I am missing person name canadianthoughts. Hopefully, he is still alive. I warned him to be careful, when driving his F150 with Master brakes cylinder issue. Ole One has the same truck he says. I think he ditched that long time ago and bought RAM 3500,. because of blown turbos, Master Brake Cylinder failure and trany shifted to the first gear, when he was pulling his jeep driving 75mph on the HWY.
Ford is #1 and always will be. Best never rest.
