Ram Rides to the Finish at 2016 Kentucky Derby
The 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby takes place Saturday at Churchill Downs, and Ram will once again serve as the official truck of the Derby.
This marks Ram's seventh year of partnership with the Derby. This year's race will feature on-site truck displays and Ram giveaways; Ram's ProMaster work vans also will transport the garland of roses to the winning horse and the winning jockey's bouquet as well.
Ram produced a pair of videos to mark the occasion. The first is a first-person ride-along video with jockey John Byrne riding Garden Goddess; it shows what it looks like to take a lap at Churchill Downs. The second is a 30-second ad that will debut during the TV broadcast of the race. You'll see both today if you watch the coverage on TV.

Congratulations to Ram for paying to promote their unsafe truck. Congratulations to the Kentucky Derby for promoting the unsafest full size truck.
This will be my next truck.
Cool is right this is not news...the real news is that consumer report ranked Ford 24th among automakers....lol
They say about Ford: "Another American automaker low on the best brands list, Ford received an overall score of 53, a road test score of 72 and a low reliability rating. "Ford’s more recent car designs drive like European sports sedans, with agile handling, an absorbent ride, and a solid feel. Reliability of most has been below average," Consumer Reports said..."

That's military grade below average!
This website is pro Ram.
Not to be outdone, the Mexican manufacturer Ford is partnering with the folks at the Plaza México in central Mexico City. The F150 will once again serve as the official truck of the Bullfight.
This marks Ford's first year of partnership with the Plaza. This year's race will feature on-site truck displays and anyone who brings their truck will get the software installed in its speed sensor fixed once and for all (maybe).
Ford produced a pair of videos to mark the occasion. The first is a Ford executive talking about the future of the F150:

The second is a 30-second ad that outlines how hot the future is for the Blue oval!

Don't know Johnny...ask your sister.
Ram is trying to market this big tin can because they are bringing it up the rear in sales. They will soon take over the 2nd place loser chebby. The funny part is 90% of the trucks in the parking lot at Kentucky derby are ford MILITARY GRADE. Ram already sales day more 2500 and 3500 trucks then government motors. Everybody at derby already knows ford is the number 1 truck in the world. MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE,MILITARY GRADE,MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE, MILITARY GRADE. WOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!!!!!!!!
All the Ford fanboys buying the ' mystical military grade fords ' don't realize that the actual military ain't buying it. LOL
Call it what ever they want. Ford is just a better truck.
Another Ram article? This site is so Fiat biased it's pathetic
Ford is just a better truck.

Says 4 out of 5 Ford technicians. The more Fords to fix, the better. Ford problems are putting their kids through college lol.
Love my 15 Ram Prospector. This is my second Ram truck the the first an 03 Ram 1500 Hemi. Sold it to my best friend who enjoys taking his boxer to the oceano dunes and letting her chase the frizby. I enjoyed towing my toy box out full of toys to get away. That's what I bought my Prospector for. The toy list grows. Hill decent is an awesome tool in my off road arsenal. Ram brand has been an excellent choice for these job duty's.

Retards are jacking my name again, but either way this is a nice truck! Hey Dave Z, a bunch of your friends are off topic once again, you should cry and report them. Just saying.
Ram Heavy Duty is the most capable pick up.

Long Haul.
Guts, Glory, @$$ kicking RAM.
Wow Natethegreat! I had no idea that 90% of the people there a drive an F-150 from 2015-2016! That's amazing! Do you have any pics to share since you were there and saw it?
Just to be sure, you do know that not every F-150 is "military grade" right? Also, there is no such thing as a military grade F-250/350 etc
I could see your comment being correct if maybe there were 10 trucks and 9 were the new F150s
Not to impressed with Aluminum not to mention if are was equal Aluminum will cost more to repair/replace.

Ram is the best truck ever. That why the US Government Lemon Laws force FCA to buy them back. LOL

This will be my next truck! I'm selling my ecoboost.
I have nothing against the Ram pickup but I have some issues with it that follows:
#1 hate that gear selector dial on the dash
#2 not sold on the rear coil spring suspension
#3 never any mfg. or dealer discounts on a new one
#4 my local Ram Dealer has a horrible reputation with their service dept.
#5 hate the cheap plastic chrome hubcaps
Are they making reference to the 2009 Kentucky Derby in this piece, because they are showing us a RAM product that is all but unchanged since 2009? Just curious.

Wow, there have been seven straight 142nd Kentucky Derbys, according to this article! Did they forget which number comes next? Come on, writers, pay attention to your grammar.

If the RAM were a horse in the Derby , it would be late to the gate ... still on the mechanics lift. Even with RAM sketchy reliability they are on track to beat Chevy in monthly sales.
The Chevy Shake and Shimmy is RAM's best friend.
Oh by the way
RAM,s burn , GM,s burn , all brands catch fire.

Actually, Papa Jim, they have changed a lot of things since 2009, the frame got strengthened, and lighter, a new v-6 that will outwork and out mileage GM's 4.3, a new 8 speed, a diesel that gets the same mileage as the midsize GMs diesel offering, it doesn't need a timing belt changed at hundred and fifty thousand miles, because it's eqquiped with a timing chain, an air suspension.
Sure it might be the oldest design in it's class, atleast the 1500.
It's funny they darn near keep up with Chevy in sales, considering Chevrolet has done so much spending too make their trucks of a newer generation, and the discounts and rebates and incentives on a Chevrolet are so high to do it!
So this article is "Fiat Makes Commercials"?...
Now that's something.
For all of the blind dogmatic crazy "Fiat Does No Wrong Crowd" there is probably a bigger article on this at "Advertising News".
For the rest of us... "Next please".

#1 selector not for me either but it does contribute to overhaul increased interior room.
#2 I think that is brilliant for a 1500 series truck, not so much for heavier duty models.
#3 don't know.
#4 completely agree, local dealer is s&!t.
#5 they all offered that at 1 point.
In know several people who have late model rams and they love them. I know of no one who has been caught up in the recalls. Ram is still the best looking truck in my opinion, just not for me.
When it comes to MADE IN MEXICO, what truck comes up 1st in a recent article.... RAM.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/research-guides/made-in-mexico/ss-BBsE5rh?ocid=iehp%20-%20image=1#image=2
Yep - not far behind is GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab / Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab too...so, take that up your @$$ GMSRNOTGREAT & mexicana Ford idiot...
I will be buying a new truck in the fall. It will either be an F150 or the Ram 1500. I've owned F150s in the past and loved 'em. Also owned a 96 Ram 1500, which I also loved. Rode in a '15 F-150 with the Ecoboost 2.7 4x4; lots of power. However, the leather seats were terrible. Rode in a friend's '15 Ram 1500 and the ride was really nice. I especially liked the leather seats. The only truck I won't buy is a Chevy/GMC as they seem to sit really low.

My RAM Prospector has none of those, but the class leading coil springs.

I just love to see all the little fan girls try and bash Ford. Really shows they are compensating for something. For instance, you have ano article on the fiat trucks just before this article and it is the official horse crap hauler and yet crickets. Thus article shows safety test which fiat fails at miserably at and all these little girls have to whine and complain. You guys are nothing more than a pathetic joke. I really laugh at you fan girls because your lives revolve around this site and bashing one product that happens to be one of the global leaders . So they must be doing something right. All you girls would know a work truck if you were ran over by it.
I'm hoping to get a call back from the dealer in the next day or two so I can get our Silverado back from getting repaired again. Just had to decommission another set of fiat trucks with 120k on the clock with engines that knock. We are down to our last few pieces of junk now.
