2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali Gets Face-Lift

GMC recently released the first photos of a new hood style for its top-of-the-line 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali. The most dramatic difference (although it is subtle) is the new shape and look of the vented hood. Presumably, the new look hints at some structural changes to the 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine underneath, but there's no word yet of any powertrain changes for 2017 models. We expect similar cosmetic changes to the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado heavy-duties soon.

Both the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 featured several front-end styling and structural changes across their trim levels for an updated look and improved results in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's front-end crash tests.

Oh and incase you forgot, 55 less HP and 40 LBFT less torque and the GM just barely beat the 3.5 V6.

That power difference in identically prepared vehicles would yield those results. What's your point? Actually, when you factor in the 400 lbs lighter ford, this is actually awesome results.

Not that impressive GMsNOTSOGREAT, but if you are brainwashed to believing it, that's ok.

Why? The GM truck has more gearing, 55 MORE HP and 40 LBFT MORE TQ. AND the F150 barely lost. I would be more embarrassed that the GM truck did not out run the F150 harder.

That's pathetic, that SBC cant stand against a small v6. Why does it matter if it has two turbos. Run what you brung GM!!!!

Shake n Bake!!!

It did, it smoked the Ford's crumpy V6 and got the better fuel mileage retardo.

Franky what is Ford's excuse for the 6.6L Duramax running circles around the Fords 6.7L 440HP 860TQ power joke?

397HP and 765 TQ Duramax down 43 HP and 95 TQ compare to the power joke, still gets smoked by GM, Ford don't know how to put power to the ground, end of story Ford kiddies.

Does this one have good or bad vibrations?

For years people was miss informed and they get a Ford super duty everyone is serious about hd know Ford was not the best one to do the heavy job on the market ,,,,today whit the up grade they close the gap ,,,not the best but not the worst,,,

Sure it did, the small 2.7 Ecoboost is faster than that pathetic 6.2L crap. Not sure GM needs more cubic inches to beat the FORD small blocks.

I would hate to be a GM fan in this day in age, I quit being a GM fan when they stopped building truck in the late 80s.

EcoBoost slows down after miles are on as Turbo's start to fail.

You do not sound very intelligent. Please explain how "turbos start to fail"?

Franky the kid changed the subject, now everyone knows *hell everyone already knew* that Frank is just a dumb kid trying to sound cool but he doesn't.

Your butt is hurt, remove the dildoe.

I aint butt hurt, but you sure are kid.

You two must have dildoe and anus fetishes, you should open up and just let it out weirdos.

Don't know what your talking bout kid, but whatever it is you have/need to say to make yourself feel better. Go for it.

Ram influence on this one!

Seriously, this is a Ford Super Duty with a custom grille from a J. C. Whitney catalog. Oh, and a Tundra hoodscoop.
