2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Video Review
Posted by Mark Williams | October 3, 2016
Ford has been teasing us with information about the all-new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor for years, and it used the 2016 State Fair of Texas to deliver impressive horsepower and torque numbers for the off-road truck.
As you might expect, the numbers are huge, given that Ford made several significant changes to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine. And don't forget that Ford saved about 500 pounds in weight as well. Of course, a smaller engine and weight savings means much better fuel economy as well.

Boycott this truck! Show Ford that we don't like engines that we don't want shoved down our throats!
They could have had a supercharged/intercooled 5.0 V8, with 500hp {or better}
The Aussies have done this for ages.
"Boycott this truck! Show Ford that we don't like engines that we don't want shoved down our throats!"
Except that I own two and like them both! I might purchase a Super Duty when they offer an EcoBoost in one. The 6.2 was a good engine in its day but that day came and went before it even got in production.
The 6.2 seems to be doing fine in revised form in the 2017 F250
The raptor looks plane and uninspiring compare to T-Rex suddenly.
Just my opinion.
Ford's popular F-Series pickups fell 2.6%.
Ram Pickup 47,792 37,004 +29%
Can you PLEASE tell me what color is that 2017 Raptor in your video? Im guessing its the new Avalanche Grey but hoping you would know for sure!! thanks
Cool truck. I like how ford actually shows the truck getting with it off road vs the rebel trx one off concept vid of it driving down a freshly road graded gravel road.
Ram.
Link the vids of the rebel trx highspeed offroad besides on a gravel road.....
Besides 30 secs in the beginning which doesnt necessarily show a trx the rest of the vid with actual footage of the trx it shows it on a gravel road.
Fords vid show raptor really of road which ram show on a gravel road
Yep doesnt show the trx off road... just the design studio and on a gravel road.
That is not a trx in the first part.... just some bait and switch
T-Rex is production ready,it will be produced and it will eat raptor alive. It will bend raptors frame first of course.
Ram’s web site has this interesting disclaimer: “Concept vehicle shown. Vehicle specifications may change.” It goes on to say, “With a 6.2L supercharged HEMI® V8 engine and sturdily built with an off-road suspension, the RAM 1500 Rebel® TRX will be the most powerful factory-engineered half-ton pickup.”
Ram dealer said you cant buy one. Go ask yours. Raptor better cause its real and not some make believe truck like the trx.
Well, T-Rex is real. I don't need it right now. I can wait for 2 years, when I am ready to replace my 2010 Laramie, so timing is perfect and I am excited already. V6 and speakers music doesn't cut it for me.
Except that I own two and like them both! I might purchase a Super Duty when they offer an EcoBoost in one. The 6.2 was a good engine in its day but that day came and went before it even got in production.

You won't like them so much when their timing chains wear out at 80k miles and the heads need replacing due to carbon build-up. And don't try to clean them with seafoam or other intake valve cleaners, you'll take out the turbos.
Ecoboost engines: no significant gas savings in real life and the financially catastrophic major repair costs diesel. Worst of both worlds. Do not buy it folks. Make them learn their lesson. Put a reliable V8 in the Raptor.
Just looking at the Ford Pick up raptors 2017
