Hennessey Creates a Monster Ford Raptor

Hennessey VelociRaptor3 II

Longtime Ford and Chevrolet tuner Hennessey Performance has created a new version of the Ford Raptor, this time with two more tires and 600-plus horsepower.

Called the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6, this heavily modified 2017 Ford Raptor offers a purpose-built suspension, split rear drive shafts to run two separate rear axles and two new monster turbochargers bolted to the upgraded V-6 EcoBoost, which is said to produce more than 600 horsepower.

The 6x6 starts at $295,000 and includes a full set of Fox Racing shocks, 20-inch wheels, bigger rear brakes, a custom bed, extended fender flares and a host of interior accents. In addition, if you want gobs more power you can choose a $22,500 hi-po option that will give you two bigger turbos and a larger intercooler.

So far, Hennessey has only a few orders for the unique beast but if the excitement on the internet is any indication, this could be one of his next biggest hits to date. In the last five years, Hennessey has built about 1,000 VelociRaptor 4x4s for various customers but, he says, this new project could be the coolest thing he's done so far.

The VelociRaptor 6x6 reminds us of the limited-edition Mercedes-Benz AMG 6x6 that were sold in very low numbers around the world for more than $600,000, and was highlighted in the recent blockbuster movie "Jurrasic World".  As odd as it might seem, the VelociRaptor 6x6 could be much more interesting at less than half the price.

Not my cup of tea. Wonder what the Purpose in "purpose built suspension" is?
Next paragraph says Fox racing Shocks, so maybe purpose = racing?

Does this answer the question of what truck will be the first to cost more than $100,000?

6-Wheeled Jeep Wrangler Tomahawk.

Damn they made it look even more ugly, didn't think that was possible.

Wow... they copied the 1997 Ram T-Rex 6x6.

What terrain is it designed primarily to run on?

They "created" a couple sketches and the internet cant plaster this garbage around quick enough. Stop talking about trash

This exactly like the 1997 ram trex. Even the power specs. Nothing like copying a 20 year old concept right down to the name. T-Rex or raptor same thing. Nice try...

Hennessey is criminal

How is Hennessey still in business?!!!

Love tandems. Remember the T Rex? A tandem Raptor or Superduty would be so insane and since money never seems to be an object in this market what the hell.
