New Ram Ad Praises Everyday Heroes
If you’re watching any NFL games on Fox or CBS this Thanksgiving weekend, or the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you’re likely to see Ram Truck’s newest commercial, called “Praise.”
There is a long and short version of the TV commercial, and it will likely remind many of the famous, popular “Farmer” commercial that ran during the 2013 Super Bowl.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles global marketing chief Oliver François said he was looking for a way to capture a moment in time and spirit of the American worker. The ad ends with the phrase, “praise the work,” implying there are millions of people out there that don’t get the recognition they deserve for the important work they do.
We’ve put both the new ad and the original, long “Farmer” ad below.

I like it. There's a lot of people out there working 100+ hours a week that don't get the recognition they deserve, the people that keeps the world going by putting food on tables, electricity and heat in our homes, maintain and build our infrastructure, and also the veterans who fight to preserve our freedom and safety. The unsung heroes of today.
chills deep
Neglected and ignored?
That's how I felt waiting around at the Ford dealership when my one month old Ford pickup's automatic trans wasn't shifting properly.
So can we post articles of ALL makes marketing efforts please?
Thank you for your service needs to be given to ALL semi-truck drivers!
Without them we would lose all hope, no Liberty, no food, no clean water, no urgent medicine, no hope!
Thank you for your service professional drivers, without you, our communities would crumble!
Pure and deep. RAM is a truck for hard working grown up, who knows what life is about.

@oxi, Why?
Praise the workers of Saltillo.
Praise $65,000 trucks that cant be bought on a $40,000 income?
@Frank; I think what OXI means is; it's a cheap ploy to disguise advertising as something else.
It's not something the intended recipients can hang on the wall.
If we learned anything from this election, it's "Talk is Cheap".
If they are really sincere, they won't take the tax deduction for advertising slid into the last quarter and make the bean counter's cringe.
What oxi is saying is he only cares about Toyota. Same old same old.
PUTC has posted on Toyota marketing before, but Toyota is not in battle with the Big 3 anymore. Tundra is withering on the vine. Mike Sweers says its just a niche truck.
@oxi, You got to get off the porch to run with the big boys!
Old GM guy: maybe a person with a 40k income shouldn't be looking at a 65K truck.
65 k will build an awesome truck, but that's the MSRP. More like a 55k truck, or less.
Maybe consider a better job or cheaper truck.
Old GM Guy is right. These people in the commercial make $40k a year at best and then Ram shows a Ram Limited. Ram wants you to buy a truck you don't need with money you don't have. Thanks but no thanks. I am not a zombie!
These are terrible commercials. They are sending a terrible message! Go buy trucks you don't need with money you don't have! And go deeper and deeper into debt with Ram. It's Black Friday!
What Blue collar workers are by far the biggest purchasers of pickup trucks as that's who these trucks are designed for and most make more then 40k a year. Many guys do buy loaded trucks because it can be a business write off.
All hd rams come from mexico from a company that is headquartered in england or wherever in europe... FCA is the last company that needs to be beating the american drum.... toyota is more smerican then ram
Please don't be confused, friends. The great majority of car/truck buyers borrow --- so they can buy. Without in house finance departments most dealerships would go broke overnight.
Go to any dealership and the smartest and hardest working folks are the ones who work on the F&I team doing the finance, and the insurance (and the license tags) the sales tax, etc. There's big money for the dealers in F&I and it's common that the F&I officer is the one who saves the deal and has to RE-Sell the customer.
It's all about the money! Finance is everything because very few buyers show up at the showroom with a grocery bag full of cash---although those old guys in the bib overalls often do that up in places like Illinois and Wisconsin with wads of hundred dollar bills cause that's the way that grandpa did it.
Where I live the RAM dealers could not exist without offering leasing.

It's called a LOAN and yes most of these people go further and further into debt throughout their life. Lol
I buy a new truck about every eight years, not fully loaded but a well equipped mid grade model. I always pay cash or actually with a check. I make a decent salary but I don't buy anything unless I have the money in hand.
Finally Ford is smart. Their giving away a fire extinguisher with every purchase. If that's not awesome enough they offer free refills for life. Awesome job Ford always taking care of the customer.

papa jim. I have been doing that for 35 years. I pay myself instead of a finance company, remember, Cash is King..
I noticed they didn't praise Ram engineers or FCA customer service...good call my Ecodiesel has been nothing short of crap
You's guys paying cash should know if you go thru Ford Credit you get an extra $1000 off.
So get the $1000 discount then pay the whole balance off when the first monthly payment arrives in the mail.
all dealerships make money on the loans so if the dealer says "Congradulations you are accepted at a 4% rate" what that really means you got a 3% and the dealer got the 1%
@bankruptinpa
The popularity of Internet banking today means that the whole process of financial administration is highly automated.
Just a few years ago, it meant the handling and processing of personal checks. Today, apart from the cost of loan origination (fees), the highly automated process practically runs itself.
Because of all this automation, the real cost of originating and managing a loan for Ford Credit is zilch.
What's more, the actual cost of financing is VERY low because the world's central banks have been trying to achieve a low interest rate environment during the last 7 years, trying to spur economic growth.
If they are paying you a 1000 bonus, I wonder where it's coming from. Any idea?
Great TV commercial, except for the part "praise the snow". LOL
Just driving/owning a RAM should qualify anyone a "HERO"!

Toyota is MORE Merican than any of the BIG 3.
love my Ram and it's Hemi.
Just so awesome.
Silly Toyota kids you are not the most American.

Fiat makes 65K trucks in Mexico for guys that make 40K a year... Happy to finance out to 72 months. Fiat isn't the only one doing this but its a hell of a way to recognize the work/worker.
Its marketing and its good marketing and they all do it... and they all make stuff in factories outside of the US, and they all have gone insane with pricing and features and they are all happy to finance forever, this is only just slightly more ironic coming from the Italian member of what was the big 3.
Anyone can buy a 65k truck, they just need to learn how to save money, so the commercial is accurate
Marketing. Be aware the buyer. Nothing new.
I didn't bother to watch the ad clip. It's just marketing ad which everyone does, and they all do it in a professional manner. Sales and Marketing are the same group in orgs. Remember the 4 O's of marketing: Product, price, place, promotion!
So Ram is making ads that are basically just like every pick-up ad for the last 25 years. Just overlay 'like a Rock' and that more or less the same ads Chevy did in the 90's.

Unless your towing, then the ole pushrod v8's have the advantage. Lol
Hey Gasser V8, reread the article, the new ecoboost left shaky GMC/Cheby almighty 6.2 in the dust in all categories, towing or empty...hahahaha!!...it's pretty embarrassing to be outdone by a half the size tiny little 3.5 V6...hohohoho :-)
I liked the farmer ad but not this one. Not at all.
They should put then both in a 2500 hd and hook 16k behind them and see which one holds back better down a 10% grade. my money's on the higher displacement. Lol
“praise the work”
I'm sure they got that idea from the pep talk given to their mechanics worn out from all of those warranty repairs.
Meanwhile, their jealousy rants will get worse with the raving reviews of the new F150 w/10-speed/updated eco-boost leaves their old V8 pushrods in the dust...again...heh heh heh

F-150' Welcome to 2014. You're almost up to GM performance level from 2014.

I thought it was a little depressing. I drive a Ram and enjoy the ads but no one likes to get up every morning and slave away their days at work. I feel like what they are showing here are the tired and weary faces. The difference between this “Praise” ad and the “Farmer” ad is that the Farmer one had a more optimistic message and feel.
@GMSSUCK; meanwhile you can keep dreaming & wishing shaky GOVT motors can come out with something better than the F150, Raptor & Ford's new HD's...list is too long :-)
