2017 Ram Laramie Longhorn Adds New Color
Ram is targeting the growing recreational vehicle crowd by changing a color option on its successful Laramie Longhorn trim level. White Gold — which was not a big seller — will be replaced by a two-tone brown stripe that will wrap the pickup truck's lower panel, go around the fender flares and continue to each bumper. Called RV Match Brown, it can be ordered with any of the Laramie Longhorn's nine available colors.
RV Match Brown will be available on 1500, 2500 and 3500 Rams, and complements the trim's chrome grille and painted tow hooks. Half-ton Laramie Longhorns are equipped with 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with color-matched (brown) inserts, while the 2500/3500 models have 18-inch polished wheels with 20-inch wheels as an option on single-rear-wheel pickups.
"After looking at the RV market for a while, we wanted to find a way of giving those buyers something special ... there's nothing like seeing a color-matching truck and trailer going down the road," said Jim Morrison, head of Ram. "A lot camper trailer manufacturers are using browns and tans in their graphics packages, so we wanted to trying something special to partner along."
Monochromatic Laramie models will continue to offer Bright Silver two-tone contrast, but for 2017 they also will be offered with the two-tone RV Match Brown. Non-two-tone paint will remain standard on Laramie models. RV Match Brown will be available this summer.

Nice, reminds me of the King Ranch. I like it.
Nice looking trucks but the two color tone scheme has being around for a while;
I recall my Dad's '75 Ford F-100 Supercab had aqua/blue combo & a friend's parents had the same truck but with yellow/brown combo...
Mr Morrison nailed it. You see a lot of luxo RVs and plush trailer homes on wheels with the browns and bronze colors. Color matching the upscale RAM haulers makes a great combo.
wow!
owning a truck like that would make me look good
This will not be my next truck but the color matches my European carryall.
It's a good idea.
the people with the $$ to spend on these big RV's won't think twice about spending big $$ on a color matched truck.
Me? I am fine with my white crew cab 4X4 with the Hemi.
The Hemi is a thing of beauty.
Hahahahaha brown is definitely the color for these pieces of cr&p
Excellent colors and nice looking truck. My F250 is copper to match my 40' camper so having great color options is huge.
Marketing is about creating value where none exist. This trim package is a good example of this type of logic.
Head bowed--another homage to the mighty King.
LOVE
FORD!
Breaking...this just in...
2018 Ram Laramie Longhorn Adds New Decal!
Great looking truck with a luxury theme interior. You got to hand it to RAM how they continue to move this now aging design. It all comes down to the fact that "looks sell". The current RAM is arguably the most successful of the big 3 especially when you take into account the design stretches across their entire RAM line-up.
GMSRGREAT: You realize that RAM is a 3rd place manufacturer? Where do you get "most successful" from? Is that based on concrete evidence or your personal opinion?
No doubt RAM builds a good truck, but where would they be without a third party diesel engine supplier and design motifs poached from the industry leader?
You realize that RAM is a 3rd place manufacturer?

Yes, just behind FORD.
Well I hope their diesel emissions are up to snuff. Because Fiat/Chrysler are now currently being investigated...

GMSRGREAT: Yep you are correct! Behind Ford--like everyone else.

Sorry dude, you walked right into that one. You said manufacturer. It is good too hear a #1 rated FORD fan acknowledge this.
GM #1, FORD #2, RAM #3
GMSRGREAT: Nobody cares about GMs weak mid-sizers, but you prolly consider them trucks--LOL.
GMSRGREAT: Then let's include vans [they're trucks too, right?] and Ford would annihilate Gee Em.
@redbloodedxy: Damage control. LOL!!!
@redbloodedxy
I doubt it. Ford doesn't sell minivans, FCA was #1 in small trucks in March last year.

GMSRGREAT: "Chevy 2500 WT: DID NOT FINISH***"
@reedblood, GMS is not a Gm guy anyway, he is a Chevy guy, so he is in second place, once Ford ranger comes out, we will not need to count them as FOrd still will be in first place in truck sales without the small truck version,
Good looking truck, just need to fix those ugly grills. Keep chasing down GM, can't wait til you catch GM
Nitro: True. That Ranger will embarrass the ugly GM twins...

Actually, Ram has to pass the #2 truck manufacturer before taking a run at #1, GM.
GMSRGREAT: F-Series: #1 selling full-size truck. Sliverado: #2, followed closely by RAM.
Don't hate me because I'm informed.

Ah yes, the alternative facts theory. LOL!! Believe what you want, it doesn't change the fact that GM is the #1 truck manufacturer.

GMSRGREAT: I think smoke from that burnt wiring harness got you good... LOL.

Those are not alternative facts, but reality. Are you really challenging me?

I thought you operated solely on speculation [per your original comment]? I guess Im not allowed.
Glad I could rattle you... Hahahaha!!
GMSRGREAT: Now you are diverting.
Answer my question:

GMSRGREAT: [crickets]
@redblood, ask him what truck Gm makes, that will stump him. Works every time. In other words, does GM make the sierra or does GM? Does CHevy make the Silverado or does GM?

You forgot to mention the GMC trucks which are built by the same manufacturer has the Chevys. When they are all tallied up, GM, as a manufacturer, wins by a landslide. This is supported by the most recent data.

Try and keep up.
Those are not alternative facts.
^^ You're an idiot Bro
GMSRGREAT: GMC is another brand sold by parent company GM. They are behind RAM. What was your point again? Until "GM" sells a universal truck brand like Ford F-series, I'm sticking with reality.

Here's reality for ya. You said earlier Ram is a third place "manufacturer" So sticking with that concept.
Ford manufactures trucks, GM

Ford manufactures trucks, GM manufactures trucks, GM manufactures more trucks. Hence, #1 manufacturer.
TUNDRAs ARE THE BEST EVER!!!
GMSRGREAT: Tell me again what truck line GM sells? I know about Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. You keep referencing a "GM" truck brand.

No I referenced GM as a manufacturer.
@GMS already confused you.....
GMSRGREAT: "GM" does not sell a pickup truck line. I searched. Only "Chevy" and "GMC."
That was fun. Do you know of any other games I can beat you at?
GMSRGREAT: As a peace offering to show that I'm a gracious winner, I'd like to mail you a CHEVY-BRANDED 2x4 that works great to keep your bed wall from collapsing into the cab when you go to buy your peat moss this spring.
I suspect you will find other uses for it as well.
Yup, R.V. match brown. RAM the longest lasting pickups.
