Honda Ridgeline Rides to the Rescue
What happens when your baseball and softball fields are ravaged by storms, winds and flood damage? Well, if you're the OFA Little League in Houston, you get a lot of help from Honda courtesy of its Honda Ridgeline Little League Grant Program, which donated $55,000 donation to fix the deteriorating fields.
A small fleet of Ridgelines trucked in supplies used to regrade fields, restore dugouts, build new backstops, install foul ball netting, repair bleachers and fences, and erect a new concession building. Local Honda dealers and parents volunteered their time and energy for several weeks during the renovation project.
The result? The OFA Little League was able to start its season on time on March 4.
American Honda has sponsored Little League Baseball and Softball since 1996, and through the grant program, it has distributed more than $1.2 million to help improve fields, purchase equipment and rebuild buildings devastated by hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters in Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Here's a quick video from the program's Texas project.

Probably doesn't sag as much when you load it.
Props to Honda!
Even a postive story gets twisted into brand bashing.
@johnny, wonder why you always drag Ford into everything, oh thats right nothing good to say about chevy or gmc???

That's why I hate Fords!
The Ridgeline is a great mid size truck. The unibody design makes it unique for sure. People continually knock this truck but I assure you those individuals are not current or previous owners.
This is exactly what this vehicle was designed to do. Light weight/utility type chores.

I thought you hated Fords because of a recall on your dads mercury and then he bought a chevy.
@gms, "People continually knock this truck but I assure you those individuals are not current or previous owners." you should take your own advice when knocking Ford......if you aint first you're last
Of course the chevy fans would turn this article into a bash ford one,by the way there is a ford in first pic
Nice to see corporate community spirit.
Basically, what Honda is proving is that their trucks are better utility vehicles than full-sized pickup trucks.
How did they prove it was better?
Source?
How did they prove it was better? Look at the fields. The Honda can do more things than a conventional pickup truck. Maybe not as well at SOME things, like heavy loads, but it can do more different things at a more economical price. It is a true utility vehicle vs a pickup, right off the showroom floor.
