Work Truck Challenge Recap Sets Up Our Next Challenge
To whet your appetite for our next pickup truck head-to-head comparison test — the 2017 3/4-Ton Premium Truck Challenge publishing Monday — we are highlighting the 2017 3/4-Ton Work Truck Challenge that we conducted simultaneously and published in March.
Although certainly not the sexiest of pickup truck segments, we thought you'd want a look at both ends of the work truck class. The Work Truck Challenge tested base 4x2 regular-cab, long-bed, V-8 competitors. The Premium Truck Challenge will look at well-equipped, top-of-the-line, turbo-diesel, crew-cab, 4x4 models.
Here's a recap of all you need to know about the low-buck brethren before you read about the premium versions. Enjoy.

The sound of silence...(with some crickets in the background) :-))...hahahahaha!!!
Government Motors with their "tough" bed. Just don't haul sand in it and you'll be ok. Can we have another bailout yet?

Not until those bums running Ford Motor Company pay back the several billion dollars they still haven't paid back on their sweetheart 0.0001% interest rate loan.
Awww Frank is hurt that his beloved GM needed taxpayer money to stay afloat and they still are producing junk at our expense. Shouldn't have used all your money to finance the Volt, maybe you'd be making decent trucks by now that don't bend from a load of sand.
Not GM's fault the sand bags moved and bent the bed. That's what happens when you don't tie the load down.
All trucks are good. Would take any of them any time. Real trucks. All quality products. Except the Ram with coil spring rear what a joke
they still haven't paid back on their sweetheart 0.0001% interest rate loan.
@Frank
Sweetheart deal?
Low interest rates have been the New Normal since 2009. Not a sweetheart deal. Ford's an important global corporation with sterling credit. They have no problem borrowing money, trust me.
Is pickuptrucks.com running out of material/money? Why republish old stories?
Holey Ford truck beds.
FORD KING OF RECALLS!
Ford’s Third Recall In A Week Affects 2017 Ford F-250s. Only 29 FIRES so far. lol
