So, you've won the lottery. Congratulations! We know you're going to go out there and buy yourself a toy, and the fact that you're reading this on PickupTrucks.com assumes that you're already a fan of vehicles with a capacious cargo box.
Since cost is no object to a lottery winner, which would you rather have? The ultimate off-road pickup truck or a super-hot sports car? That's the question we put to the test on our sister site, Cars.com.
We pitted the newest, biggest, baddest Ford pickup — the 2017 F-150 Raptor — against the gorgeous, luxurious, ridiculously fast 2017 McLaren 570GT. Why? Because we could.
Visit Cars.com to see which vehicle won the ultimate Weekend Toy Challenge.

I'd pick-up a Corvette Z06.
I agree, I'd get a Corvette Z06 and a long travel Tundra. A long travel Tundra blows away the Raptor, Ford can keep the electronic gizmos.
Also buying a big boat too and a 3500HD Duramax Denali to tow it
McLaren is useless unless you happen to live near a track. Raptor has far more opportunities to be fun
I would go for the Vette as well.
Neither.
Ram Power Wagon for me...(^_^)..
===============
Raptor and Ford GT, forget the rest. Pffftttt.....
You can buy a very nice home in the area where I live for the price of the McLaren GT.
If you already own a nice house, consider what it costs to buy a vintage Cobra (or a new Vette). You'd have a classic sports car---and some change in your pocket---if you passed on the McLaren.
The Ford Raptor would be a toy on the order of a pocket-rocket motorcycle, or a set of fine British bird guns.
There both useless vehicles.
It makes my laugh when someone behind the screen pretense to be El CHINGON, IN ENGLISH THE BAD @$$ and try to use my usrename pretending that I like GARBAGE MOTORS products get real people I ONLY LIKE FORD PRODUCTS AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT GO TO HELL.
Let see if the use my name writing like this. Chulada de troca!!! . A MI ME GUSTA LA FORD POR QUE ES LA MEJOR QUE LA SHAKYBROLET DE GARBAGE MOTORS Y QUE LAS TROCAS DE FIAT. Hahahahahahaha let see if they come up with something good this time. Beat it Beat It!!
Corvette what a joke. Still has a 1955 style pushrod engine. Wrap your donkey in fibergla$$
Raptor and GT.
GM nor Fiat have ever built anything that can hang with either.

@blueman
Do you realize how dumb that makes you sound?
The Gen 5 V8 engine in today's GM SUVs and pickups is a very sophisticated aluminum block/heads engine with anti vibration tech, multi displacement tech, VVT and tolerances that engineers in 1955 could only dream of.
Assuming for a second that you consider yourself a Ford man, go back to 1955 and check out the Y Block Ford V8 they had in those days and compare it to the far superior SBC that GM rolled out that glorious year.
Assuming that you're a mopar guy, do yourself a favor and DON'T go back to 1955 and see whatever crap they were building back then.
@papajim. Mopars had the most hp in 1955 with the Hemis, but they all came in very heavy cars. They were the first to have 1hp per cid.
Already own the ultimate off road vehicle 15 Prospector Power Wagon so i'd go with the Mc Laren.

@Fredtheman
I almost snorted beer out my nose when I read your comment. Millions of people bought small block Chevys. How many HEMI's did Chrysler sell in the 1950s (15 or so). It was not a common engine until the last 20 years. And today's HEMI isn't really a hemi at all, but I digress.
In the 1950s and early 60s if you were running Mopar you were out of luck. It was not till about 1964 that anybody even was talking about Hemi engines.
By that time Ford had the 427 and GM withdrawn from the racing scene. Hemi's were truly unicorns in those days.
All I see are old guys driving Corvettes, I'm one of them , old that is, but I do not want a Corvette. Maybe a Tesla and a ZR2 if it would pull my boat.

@papajim, Your clueless about automotive history and racing history. STICK TO THE POST ABOVE THANK YOU.
Hemi V8
Hemi's were scarce in the 1960s. Aftermarket parts for Mopar cars were scarce until the late 1960s.
Chevy V8s were everywhere in 1960s and aftermarket parts were dirt cheap and available everywhere.
If you were running Mopar in the 1960s and did not have an official factory deal, it was almost impossible to get decent valves, cams, intakes, cranks and rods for real racing.
By the late 1960s the 383 4 barrel was the common motor, the 413s were rare, the hemis were rare and the tri power 440s were rare. The Carter AFB carbs were stock and they were lame compared to the Holley's that hi-performance Fords and Chevy's had in those days.
There was one really cool engine Chrysler had then, the 340 small block with forged guts and a hot cam. HP figures were not published but they were hard to get. By the time word was out on that motor the government was already hassleing Detroit about pollution and fuel economy so the 340 never really made a mark on the street or in the drag racing circles.
Hemi V8. Those are the facts.

According to you. lol
Please stay on topic.
Only buy the vette if you don't mind the sound of cheap plastic creak and rattle. Ppssst.
Neither. Id buy a regular cab short bed with the 5.0. STX to avoid the chrome.
Raptor of course & then a Demon :-)
Ecactly, the Raptor is nothing but a weekend TOY. No payload, too long, too wide, too heavy, too expensive and just useless. A toy for a boy, and we need tools for men. Perfectly engineered to take money from a boy.

@benchimus
Totally! STX trim comes with great looking wheels/tires and decent interior too. The XLT is a chromed plated mess.
Here's the question: Just try finding a STX with the 5.0
I dont like neither of these money pits..
Would get Tesla ludicrous and a Workhorse hybrid ev truck

You will have to learn to tune out the creaks in favor of the glorious sounding 6.2 Litre V8 and supercharger whine under hard acceleration followed by the cracking, popping exhaust notes when letting off the throttle. I can do it.

Does PUTC get bonus bucks from Ford for all of the extra coverage?
No they just ran out of ideas.
@Jeff - looks that way.
