Harvest Edition Comes to Ram Lineup This Fall

Harvest 4 combo II

In honor of its history with U.S. farmers — after all, this is the truckmaker with the "Farmer" commercial — Ram just revealed a new trim called the Harvest Edition. We saw it in concept form (photo below) at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas.

The 2018 Harvest Edition will be offered across Ram's 1500/2500/3500 lineup of four-door pickups with the 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter Hemi gas engines and 6.7-liter Cummins diesel. The new trim will provide several popular, value-packed features in four colors: Case IH Red, New Holland Blue, Bright White and Brilliant Black. The red and blue choices pay tribute to parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' historical ties to agricultural equipment manufacturers Case IH and New Holland. Monotone and two-tone color schemes with silver fender flares are also available.

Harvest Edition Rams will sport wavy cross-hair chrome grilles, chrome bumpers, chrome wheels (17 inch on 1500s and 18 inch on 2500/3500 models), chrome mirrors, door handles and exhaust tips (V-8 1500s only). Harvest Edition models also will have black tube steps, a spray-in bedliner, all-terrain tires, rubber floormats and heated seats; 4x4 models get extra skid plates and heavy-duty models get a cargo-view bed camera.

The 2018 Harvest Edition Rams will go on sale later this fall, with half-ton models starting at $41,305 (prices include destination) and the least expensive Ram HD model starting at $47,630.

Not bad looking for rebadged trucks with the oldest platform & carry over power plants...

Bracing myself for Roadwhale to say "I want one but they're just too big."

Get them now before they go Chinese!

Ching Chong Chang RAM!

Well the larger CASE tractors have IVECO engines. So the FIAT DNA is pretty strong

I like the creative tie in with unique to the trucks colors being tied to AG manufacturers. Thanks for not going to pepboys isle 5, and going all black with GM... AGAIN.

Hopefully RAM designers won't forget where they found those classic grille treatments. The crosshairs looks WAY better than the goofy attempts that RAM's made during the last few years.

That said, these are great looking pickups

nice truck

FCA is smart to capitalize on Ram. This is a profitable product and special editions will help the bottom line. The cross hair grill is much better looking than the other grill. Not a bad looking truck.

New Holland blue is something I could get behind, I really like that blue color. I dislike majority of blue trucks on the market, they are either too dark or look half purple

Cash IH red looks pretty sharp too.

Tyler that blue that looks purple we called Burple , like the 2018 Colorado blue, looks burple to us.

Took 5 years for a concept to come to fruition? If my garage was bigger I would have a Ram

I love this! Trucks were way more cool when they were on the farm and not Wall Street!

Great Job Ram paying homage to rural america!

How about a John Deere Green edition with yellow striping and rims. Sounds weird but might actually look good.

Outdoorsman is what I'd like to see added to lineup in USA.
Currently it's only sold in Canada.
Harvest Edition is nice.

Along with the new design in 1994 the Dodge Ram lineup had a lot of bright colors and it really did stand out and was a good marketing strategy. A lot of trucks and cars for that matter have really boring colors these days and it's refreshing to see that new holland blue.

would be nice if it had truly functional for farmers upgrades.
like a winch, quick hookup for jumper cables, some serious work lights,GOOD tool box options. even an emergency type tool kit under the seat with a few basic quality tools like a crescent wrench, pliers, hammer, a set of wrenches, mutitool etc.

what year did Ram Truck start that same body style?
was it 1996?

@Clint- RAM has been offering those colors on the HD trucks for some time, although I think they were restricted to fleet orders. The available color palette is astonishing.
