2018 Ford F-150 Raptor: Recall Alert

2018 Ford F-150 Raptor_2

By Jen Burklow

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 40 model-year 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCab pickup trucks without moonroofs built at Michigan's Dearborn Truck Plant from June 8 to Aug. 21, 2017

The Problem: Rivets may be missing from the structural braces in the roof, reducing the roof's structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury in a rollover. Ford said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

The Fix: Dealers will install rivets for the roof brace attachments for free.

What Owners Should Do: Ford has not yet released an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 for more information.

Katie bar the door twice!

Great job FORD for being proactive and responsible. Unlike others who change a part number, trying to cover tracks or others who have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the recall.

I don't no why every time there is a discussion about a recall that some have to be uncivilized. Recalls are not a joking matter. Be grateful that Ford us recalling and not sweeping it under the rug like GM did with the ignition switches.

Seriously..... How does stuff like this happen? Lazy union workers @ their best. It's really rather pathetic.

More Ford junk, nothing new here.
Just regular Ford F@^ups.

F - flawed
O - or
R - recalled
D - daily

At least ford, was not bailed out by tax payers, like. Dodge, and GM.

It's possible its more like a design flaw and to fix the problem they will add rivets,,,?

Great job FORD for being proactive and responsible. Unlike others who change a part number, trying to cover tracks or others who have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the recall.

You mean like the time Ford tried to do a regional recall for door latches that could fail. Then the Feds had to brow beat them into doing a national recall.

Or how about all the F-150's equipped with an Ecoboost that have sudden loss of brakes? You know, the one that Ford tried to ignore until the Feds came knocking. Then suddenly a recall was issued, but only for 2013-2014 truck, even though the identical master cylinder and brake booster are using on 2015+ trucks -- they're still failing without warning by the way.

Oh by the way, out of 18 auto manufacturers, FORD is ranked dead LAST in voluntary recalls. Over the last 30 years, Ford was FORCED to issue a recall 70.4%. Ford, where safety is job none!

Ford being cheap again, better check and see if they still putting crash bars in still cheap pricks.

and still waiting for a recall for a 2007 f150s fuel pump control module.

More Ford junk, nothing new here.
Just regular Ford F@^ups.

Fake news from a GM kid up past his or her bedtime. From the phraseology it quite clear which kid it is. Silly GM kids playing with the parents computer. Sincerely, the real Chevy Blows Chunks.

And here come the ignorant ones stating Ford being proactive to their failures!

I have 2 very thick folders for my GM repairs! Not so with my Ford products! Our Jeep has been OK on repairs. So for us its FORD #1. CHRYSLER #2. AND GM "DEAD" LAST!

I have 2 very thick legs from pushing broken Fords home all the time.

Bought 2017 Raptor in August and had brake failed May22,2018 (pedal going to the floor) Larry Miller Ford Colorado schedule is for service A WEEK OUT ON May29 but on the day before was in a crash because of no brakes!!! Been going around and around with Larry Miller Ford who even said they are distancing themselves from the truck (I THINK LARRY MILLER IS GUILTY OF NEGLIGENCE WHAT YOU SAY ???) Still in a rental car to this day and seeing who is gonna pay bill ...does 2017 Raptor have same braking system as F150 2014,2015,2016??? I bet so ...(what say ye???) thanx
