2015-2017 Ram ProMaster City: Recall Alert

2016 Ram ProMaster City
By Matt Schmitz

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 11,300 model-year 2015-17 Ram ProMaster City vans

The Problem: The tire placard contains incorrect information that includes wrong vehicle capacity weight, total number of occupants, tire pressure and "none" designation for the spare-tire size when a full-size spare tire is present. This could cause the driver to exceed the vehicle's weight capacity or inflate the tires to an incorrect pressure, affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the incorrect tire placard with a corrected one for free.

What Owners Should Do: Ram manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners Nov. 15. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.

Postcard, lick a stamp. Mail it to the owner. Done.

Do you think they'll be able to properly place the sticker

Were you able to place the Ford transmission recall sticker on your Ford.

Yup can't forget the time Reagan bailed out Ford by letting them mail out stickers warning about a defect they covered up for over a decade and killed THOUSANDS. Ford would have been liquidated if the gov would have forced them to actually fix the problem.
