To celebrate 100 years of Chevrolet pickup trucks, the automaker debuted a pair of special-edition pickups at the 2017 State Fair of Texas. The Centennial Edition offers unique badging, tons of features and just one color. Here's a closer look at the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Centennial Edition. You can order the Centennial Edition now, but you won't be able to see it anywhere else until late fall. Here's a closer look.

It should have the 6.2L in it standard. I really love my 5.3L. Gets great gas mileage, tows my boat great, but any fool knows if I could have found a fully loaded SLT with a 6.2L in it...i would have gotten it. That's one of a few things GM needs to change...availability of the 6.2L
Plus, I didn't want to pay the extra 10K just for the name Denali on my on my seats!

That was a quicky. To celebrate 100 Years of Chevy trucks, GM gives you more plastic badges. smh.

Although not a fan of Chevy. That color is awesome. I may look at chevy HDs if it wasnt for those dang square wheel wells.

@ Nitro

I'm not a huge fan either of square wheel wells, but it doesn't bother me. I have spoken to a few people about this and they say chevy went this route bc of road noise?? IDK if its true but my truck is much quieter than my step dads F150. Again, this is just what I've experienced, would like to know some facts about it.

Plus if you sit inside the older models 07-13's compared to newer models with the square wheel wells, its night and day difference.

@Nitro

Want to go to Australia with me?

@Frank

Have you ever been to Australia?

P.T.Barnun said there's a sucker born every minute. This truck
is about an hours worth.....

Sorry to disappoint you. GM treats Chevy trucks like a redheaded stepchild.

Toss the bumper, and the front air dam.

Bam... 33" BFG's

:D

Papa Jim,

Stop asking other men if they want to go to Australia. That's not what this site is about.

@Chris

You crack me up.

There is something wrong with Papa Jim. He keeps asking everyone about Australia.

Junk nothing but pure junk. Put something interest not that P.O.S. rebadge GARBAGE MOTOR COMPANY TRUCK.

Nothing wrong with me. BAFO keeps showing up in different disguises. It's easy to tell when it's him.

papajimnii,
Really. Please play with the boys.

It appears your comments are generally anti social, anti Australian or authoritive.

You don't hold the creed to act in such a way. Please again in a friendly note of caution, play with the boys.

I empathise with your shortcomings regarding your personality, like most do here at PUTC.

Now, what did your comment have in relation to Chevy?

I missed that part. So, please re-submit a comment detailing your views on Chevy trucks and enlighten us with your knowledge.

That's a frick'in beautiful truck. It's a loaded LTZ, it doesn't need anything extra. It does everything a pick-up is supposed to do including turning heads in this case. Frick'in beautiful.

Celebrate 100 years of Chevrolet pickup trucks??????

Also the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro after only 42 years on the production line. LOL

Yawn, same o' square boxy barge design, shaky GOVT motors should really hire some new designers...

Your right, this new Chevy is quieter than my Dads 1980 F150.
Man they're good.

Also the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro after only 42 years on the production line. LOL

Yep, GM gave the Mustang an eight year break from getting beaten up at race tracks everywhere.

If GM gave the Mustang an 8 year break.....how does that make it a 50th anniversary?LOL

The 2019 Silverado with the 3.6 twin turbo Ecotech will be my next truck.

So the 50th anniversary Camaro was to celebrate 50 years since its introduction... it wasn’t advertised as 50 years of Camaro. Details matter!

Back on topic, I like the color and retro emblem on the grill, but the door emblem seems out of place.

@Mark Williams
Can we see pictures of the inside?

Starts at 55 k that would 10k a year for a 5 year loan.....yall gettin crazy with your prices....there aint 55 k worth of anything for a half ton truck.

How reliable is this truck? And does it have safety features like the e brakes? Does it have a navigation system or Bluetooth?

Yes, details matter.

50th Anniversary* Camaro

*Soley based on year of introduction, not the actual production run like it's competition the Ford Mustang, looking at 55th Anniversary of straight friggin muscle.

Muscle, HAHAHA!. If you want to use that criteria, then the Mustang was out of that arena starting in 1973. The only time they had any edge over the Camaro was from 2003 through 2009. Actually, now that I think of it, the 2002 Camaro had the Mustang covered in performance during that break. LOL!

Like the color, hope the Colorado looks as good

How's the Camaro's performance vs the Mustang during 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.

:D

I'll be here all week.

LOL!

I forgot too see your girly fangirl battle-cry laugh, my bad. I'm done.

The Camaro was introduced in 1967. Do the math.

**reintroduced in 2009, and sadly matched the performance of a 2001 Mustang SVT.

Wrong article. This isn't about the trailer trash, soft and weak F-150.
