2018 Ram ProMaster: Recall Alert

2018 Ram 1500 ProMaster
By Patrick Masterson

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 3,500 model-year 2018 Ram ProMaster vans

The Problem: An incorrect rivet may have been used to attach the front door impact sensor. This could cause the sensor housing to fracture, affecting deployment of the standard supplemental side airbags during certain side-impact crashes, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: Dealers will replace both front door impact pressure sensors and secure them with the correct rivets for free.

What Owners Should Do: Ram manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners Jan. 3, 2018. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.

Junk just like Jonny do. Hahahahahaha

A small simple issue caught relatively quickly and voluntarily. As long as they fix it right the first time and avoid deaths and injury no big deal.
