2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 Interior: Spied
With Chevrolet's 2019 Silverado light-duty half-ton and medium-duty 4500/5500 pickup trucks revealed, Chevy can keep pushing testing on the three-quarter and one-ton pickups. From what we've seen, Chevrolet is not looking to start a revolution in the class, it's just making its heavy-duty pickup trucks look a little better than the ones they're replacing. In fact, they share many of the same design cues we saw on the half ton when it debuted in Detroit.
Here's what our spy shooters found when they encountered a new HD in a parking lot. The family resemblance will be strong through the entire lineup.
"Today we bring you our first look at the inside of the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500.
"Although parent company GM recently showed a teaser photo of the next-generation Silverado HD, the company forgot to share a teaser photo of the interior. Looking at our exclusive interior shots, we can see that the Silverado HD will look almost identical to the recently debuted 1500. The only difference we see is on the gauge cluster, which adds a couple of small analog circle gauges in the center of the instrument cluster.
"The next-generation 2500/3500 is said to use a mixed aluminum/steel body. Styling cues are likely to mimic the recently debuted 1500, with a wide array of unique grilles and distinct trims.
"Diesel power should still come from the recently refreshed 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 engine, while the 6.0-liter V-8 should soldier on as the standard gasoline option. No official word on transmission offerings, but considering Ford and Ram are still using six-speed units in their HD rigs, we expect GM to stick with its current six-speed automatic heavy-duty transmission — although there's still a chance the new Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission may show up.
"Expect a debut of the 2020 sometime in early 2019, with an on-sale date later in the year."

What's not to like?
Boring as usual....

@pj
lol
Another garbage can interior. Can't they come up with something at least nice?

and you paid for this?
So much can change in the next year
This is a standout example of an aesthetically pleasing, functionally perfect interior. No big distracting screens or gazillion buttons and knobs randomly spread about the dash board like some of the Silverado's American competitors.

Plain ugly Chevy interior as usual. Only Ram, Ford get nice interiors.

Actually they just wait for Ford to produce it, then copy it.
So a new mediocre body, with a new mediocre interior, wrapped around a good but dated tranny, a sad 6.0, or the up to date 6.6.
One would think they would have taken the opportunity to do more than hide the DEF tank and put a filler spout on it... but we aren't yet sure if they even got around to that.
Between Fiat's very well received new interior and looks and Chevy's suspected but not yet confirmed complacency the battle for #2 could get more interesting.
GMS, you mean like the high level trims GM has? Or didnt you know that gm produces a gazillion buttons in their trucks too? I agree with Frank, they will wait till someone else makes it to then adapt to it....
best power train in the business. It also puts that power to the pavement with best in class performance instead of just Words, lies, and propaganda!! Great job GM by giving people who want a truck that performs and lasts
@TNTGMC
Your comment is our propaganda
It was kinda nice being off and not on here watching papa, TNT, and gms continue to defend GM.....

Nitro, do the doctors think it's o.k. for you to be reintroduced into society? It's not too soon, is it?

Speak for yourself, you're still convinced Silverado outsells the F-Series.

You know. No matter what GM does, their dash just looks unacttractive.
people can't see the interior, only the exterior
so if you want to impress everybody just show them the "Eco-Boost Badge" on the front door
TNTGMC
I know you ~! I know every time you see a F-150 on the road the first thing you look for is the "Eco-Boost Badge"
and you think to yourself "that guy driving that F-150 is a winner, a smart man, I highly respect him"
@TNTGMC
* pure * propaganda
What’s up with those tow mirrors? They look f**n UGLY just like the truck itself.
So that's what an $80 billion dollar bailout gets us...
boy the ford guys are worried making comments like these. This is fun
@eboboost rules
Whybwould I want an ecoboost badge when I have a 420 hp v8 monster under my hood? Ya..thought so!!
@ Sierra
Please get a new username, u don't deserve it..and your just jealous bc everything i posted is true...if u forgot that fords SD don't put down power. Reread the HD article PUTC comparison they did when th duramax put a beat down on the SD.
@ Harvey
Did u actually comment without an insult! Lol
And no Ford is pure propaganda....get your facts straight....oh wait, u never have facts.
U find that V8 in a half ton yet to match GMs 6.2L....ya thought so.
Same interior as the half ton, why even cover it up?

I never ever said that the Silverado outsells the F-series. Nitro, Frank who ever you are the moment, it is clear the doctors released you to soon.
... And this is a surprise? Why would the 2500/3500 cabs NOT look like the 1500 cab?

I agree with your post. There is no one better than Ford as far as sprinkling the magic "fairy dust" to claim best in class at everything. Real world testing usually proves otherwise. That's military grade Koo-Aid for you. :) But people like Frank eat it up and believe every word of it.

You're the clown that thinks Chevy is a real company with a headquarters, CEO, and its own Chevy truck plants.
GM: selling more trucks than Ford since 2014.
Look great like always! Fords look like rolling ugly turd boxes!
Some might call GM's truck interiors as boring. They're simple because guys don't want to have to hunt for the 3 or 4 buttons they use on a daily basis. The important buttons are big and easy to press with winter gloves on. They have nice rubber knobs that you can turn with your winter gloves on. The DIC is simple and shows all the important stuff, not a bunch of showy graphics or 12" monitors. Plus, GM does their seats right. I don't know who Ford switched to, but the seats they've been using since 2015 are hard as a rock.
@ Brick
Exactly! A simple but nice interior with Badass powertrains that nobody can match! Some of us actually use trucks for what their built for, not just fancy interiors and numbers on paper..

Pounding the payment is what a GM Truck is known for....and as for Powertrains that nobody can match. Oh please, just stop already.
This person is at the least worst then TNT, a poor attempt at educational posts. BA, LMFAO.

Oh yea, call it what you want, they don't have anything nice over there. PERIOD!!
This is guy is in denial.
Poor Frank, I know it's hard to accept, D-Max smokes PS! 6.2 smokes ecoboost! You should probably go get a pedicure with Ms. Harvey LMFAO!
@ Frank
You said it, Denial!
@ Frank
U in denial man. Ford has no answer for GM!
If u think the ecobust is answer for GMs 6.2L then why do Ford technicians pick 5.0L over the ecobust??
https://youtu.be/9nUCx5IQZro
Know who is in denial??? Not us GM boys!
Idk if they still do, but when the ecobust came out they had the speakers make V8 sounds while the engine was running to make it sound more manly! Wow, that says it all lol!
Smokes? Sounds like Grandma left her PC on, time for bed little one.
Ford has answers for it, what makes you think they don’t? You’re not an engineer, you just stick it wherever it says GMC.
Yes Frances, SMOKES!! As in rubber burning power, don't try and talk your way around it lol! Ford's been trying to keep up with the Duramax for years now...ever since they first came out with their new in house built PS, it's been in the rear view the whole time!! One of the first comparisons if you can remember was the "rumble in the rockies" where the Duramax beat the new PS up the mountain by more than 2 minutes!!! Yes, 2 minutes!
The Duramax can have 1000hp, people still won’t buy it. Period!!!
Nobody cares
You said it first, denial! Poor guy! Lol
It's ok to be second though
That's like saying nobody buys the PS...Period!!! Whatever
And your the guy commenting about educational posts! What a dumb@ss lol
just look at the truck sales this Friday, you friggin waist of sperm, you should have been swallowed.
What’s the BA for? B!tch@ss. Fuckoutttahere!!
