2018 Ford F-150: Recall Alert
By Patrick Masterson
Vehicles Affected: Model-year 2018 Ford F-150 pickup trucks are among approximately 5,600 Ford and Lincoln vehicles being recalled for a fuel pump issue. Affected vehicles are model-year 2018 F-150 pickup trucks built at the Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan between March 14 and April 24, 2018, as well as at the Kansas City Assembly Plant in Missouri between March 20 and April 17, 2018; Ford Expedition SUVs built at the Kentucky Truck Plant between March 14 and April 12, 2018; and model-year 2018 Lincoln Navigator SUVs built at the Kentucky Truck Plant between Feb. 20 and May 6, 2018; all vehicles are equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine
The Problem: The high-pressure fuel pump assembly may have inadequate welds between the pump housing and its mounting flange, causing the welds to the vehicles to be susceptible to high-cycle fatigue fractures that could cause the fuel pump to move relative to its mounting flange, resulting in eventual loss of the sealing integrity of the cam cover or the fuel lines and an oil or fuel leak, increasing the risk of fire.
Ford said it is not aware of any fires, accidents or injuries related to the issue.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel pump, high-pressure fuel discharge tube, and high-pressure pump and discharge tube mounting bolts for free.
What Owners Should Do: Lincoln automaker Ford did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 866-436-7332, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.

Hay Chris and Frank, This is Ramone, your neighbor. Looks like we need to get our pumps checked.
What is up with Ford and fires... Should just start calling them Fire-150's.

What fires? I guess that you prefer companies that just ignore potential or even real issues and hope that they can get away with it instead of fixing it. A certain ignition switch issue that killed a lot of people comes to mind.

@Patrick
Dearborn plant is in Michigan; Claycomo (Kansas City) plant is in Missouri

Go GMC!
Wow!! I'm just shaking my head..............unreal
Good that they caught it and nothing has so far come of it.
Bad that it went on for almost a month before catching it.
I can hear Frank and Chris screaming at the top of their lungs across the street over this article and recall. Frank threatened to never log into PUTC ever again for posting negative things about Ford. Maybe I will get lucky and they will move out of the neighborhood too!!!
I don't own a 2018 you 'tards, and Ford does not manufacture that fuel pump, keep them coming you ghouls.

@ Frank
No one said you owned a 2018. I merely stated that you and Chris appeared to be butthurt about the recall because it was negative towards Ford. BTW....you and Chris are the worst neighbors I've ever had!! When are you moving out??
@ Frank
Lol where have you been? Your the topic of everybody's comments lately. As you like to say, did you go cry to your momma? It's ok though, take a deep breathe, it won't affect your sales #s.
I couldn't care, I'm am though, pretty famous. Bad publicity is good publicity
I am flattered, carry on.

@Frank
Psychiatric professionals have a name for that. Don't look it up on Google. You'll rest easier if you don't.
Lol @ papa!
Back to topic,
Is there a part of these trucks that doesn't find a way into a recall these days?
It feels like every owner since 2015 has almost 5 recalls to fix.
I ain't worried about papajim, I am doing awesome in life.
Goodbye!
@ Frank
How many times do you have to tell yourself that on a daily basis?
Ummmm....I am actually advising you low-lives.
Fix
Or
Recall/Repair----which ever comes first
Daily
Still shaking my head!

Do something productive and get a life, go bother other people on another forum and stay on topic! Man u are unreal...no wonder u drive a Ford!! Explains ALOT!
And I once never called u a name!! Interesting isnt it!
@ TNT
You know Frank, he can't control himself so he resorts to name calling to make himself feel better. Sounds like he's the low-life

Go cry to your momma. This guy! Hahahah
"Go cry yo your momma"
Thats your comeback? Broken record anyone......
I just heard of this site.
Wow, is there anyone but kids on this site?
Come on Frank, we all know you are always the one that ends up getting ran off to "cry to your momma"..thats the only reason you use that phrase so consistently, you are very familiar with it
Have ALL you groupies not realized what you do on this site all day?
All ya'll do is cry, no go, run along.
What we do all day, ya we talk trucks and pick on Frank..😂
LMBO!!!!!!!!!! What is this the 50th recall from Ford this year? Only 6 months in this sh!% Ford is making is junk!!!!!!!!!!!
@ Frank
Ya we're on here "crying" about a Ford Recall lol! As TNT said, you are unreal
the 3.5 Eco-Boost is not effected by this recall
it's the "NON-TURBO" 3.5 engine
NOT the Eco-Boost !
I love my 3.5 Eco-Boost so much
The 3.5 Eco-Boost is the greatest engine ever made
@ ecobust
Lol you are pretty clueless for being so in love with your ecoturd..that is the engine in this recall...it says all vehicles are equipped with the 3.5 V6, being that the expedition and navigator are only available with ecobusts I wonder what engine they could be talking about??
Sean
No, No, NO! it didn't say "Eco-Boost" !
Ford makes TWO 3.5's and they make a 3.5 with NO TURBO
If it was the 3.5 Eco-Boost it would be ID'ed with 3.5 EB
any Ford with the 3.5 Eco-Boost is the top of the line, the best, the masterpiece, the king, the #1 and you will be fillled with pride owning one.
Even when I take my 3.5 Eco-Boost in for service even the mechanics give me great comments saying "wow that's a nice truck"
I was sitting at an ice cream stand and a total stranger walked up to me and asked me if my truck had the 2.7 or 3.5 Eco-Boost and he said "WOW" That's the best engine"
Let me educate you. It's the Ecoboost 3.5 because there aren't two 3.5 V6s for 2018. There is 3.5 EB V6 and a 3.3 V6.
@Dave B
You are CORRECT sir!
The Cyclone 3.3 is the new base engine for F150s and I'm not aware of any other application for it presently.
The little 3.3 is an amazing six! It would be a perfect choice for a mild supercharger, or for a mild hybrid application.
It would not surprise me for Ford to follow what RAM did with their ETorque in the 3.3
It's hilarious how drunk Ecoboost rules is...clueless!
@ Sean
Lol! Yes ecoboost is totally drunk in his little 3.5L ecobust. He has drunk the Ford lies kool aide for way to long.
And ecoboost. If the 3.5L is the best engine for Ford why do they uochsrge now for the 5.0L coyote instead if the ecobust.... Maybe bc they have found out their V8 is better?!?
up charge
It's hilarious how drunk Ecoboost rules is...clueless!

Sad nobody walks up to you and compliments your truck.
@ Frank
Are you a little slow?? The guy is bragging about the ecoturd not being the engine in the article when in fact it Is! Being so in love with Ford you'd think he would know his facts before blabbing about it. So yes it's hilarious and so is your comment like usual! I've seen how you comment on here, ignorant to say the least! Btw, compliments on my truck, my D-Max would obliterate that little truck lol!

Haha! I had my Silverado parked on main street downtown. When my wife and I returned I noticed a paper tucked into my drivers side window weather strip. At first I was thinking a parking ticket, but no, it was an admirer who left their phone # to call if I ever decided to sell this truck. He / she couldn't know that my truck had the best in class 6.2 V8, unless, they knew how to read a GM VIN.
@ Sean
Your definitely right about Frank, don't waste your time with him he's also drunk! You can see how smug he is from his comments above lol! He can't defend himself so he resorts to name calling, it's sad.

Be honest and say it was a "WE BUY JUNK CARS" business card.
Ford sells more trucks with Ecoboost engines than GM sells with V8.
Unless your a salesman or work at the dealership who cares..GMSGREAT said best in class, not top seller. The 6.2 beats the ecoturd in almost every category, including FE, honestly that's pretty sad! But your right, #1 in sales...you should celebrate lol!
I'll take my 6.2L V8 monster over any Ford engine offered in a half ton....nothing competes with it!!
Not even Franks Triton 5.4L with its little 260HP......LMFAO!!
