Ford Will Flood 2018 SEMA Show With Rangers, F-Series Pickups

Ccl_7828jpg_26348759989_o

Given that the all-new, returning 2019 Ford Ranger will be in dealerships by the end of the year, the Halloween-timed 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show in Las Vegas seems perfectly timed for Ford to flood the floor with all sorts of unique, well-dressed custom Rangers.

This year, Ford will display seven Rangers at SEMA, all dressed in different custom and prototype aftermarket parts. Ford also will showcase seven F-150s and three Super Duty pickups at the show. To whet our appetite, Ford has released artist renditions of the trucks that will be displayed and we're sharing them with you. We've selected the top five features of each pickup to complement the illustrations below. Once we're at SEMA (an industry-only show running Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center) and walk the floor, we'll have photo galleries, videos and stories about the most interesting trucks at the show.

Bunch of expensive bolt on's.

IDK. As ive grown older I find myself less and less likely to bite on silly, ostentatious add ons. Yea I guess if you LIVE off road or got something to prove with your vehicle SEMA is your "thing". I can see where demonstrating the extreme can be fun/interesting but I guess I'm just more interested in things that more often make sense.

@Clint

Be very careful.

One day you feel like eschewing the ostentatious add-ons and the next thing you know you'll find yourself really looking forward to Thursday Night Senior's Specials at the KFC buffet. It's insidious.

GM's franchise pickup truck is the most disappointing "all-new" vehicle I've driven this year. Aside from the utter face-plant of its styling, this Silverado reeks of cost-cutting and profit-padding “

Are you sure it’s a Ford? It looks almost identical to a Tacoma

I don't care much for the off-road stuff either.
But it's still intresing to look at some of the vehicles.
When we had our 07 Ridgeline meet in St Louis the chief engineer and other Ridgeline Owner's Club members helped get the vehicles
from SEMA for us to see in person at our meet. They had the black Ridgeline street concept and off-road RIDGELINE and cut out body Ridgeline.
So the vehicles were good to look at up close.

talk about "rake". 3 inch levveling kit, Colorados only need 1.5 inch leveling kit...

Notice the addictive designs rear axle, or lack of... and no it is not one of those raised axles that is gear driven like the real Hummer. It is just a renduring.

Not sure 35 incher will fit with just a Icon leveling kit...

it has taken over 2 years for the AEV to produce parts for the Colorado off of its Sema truck. and then talk about high prices....$2k for a bumper, $1,8k for a set of wheels etc...

All these trucks and not one looker!!!
What an ugly family of trucks. Lol

“ What The Heck “ is wrong with your eyes?

Other way around, Concern Tr@ll. Toyota has been ripping off Ford and other's looks.

LETS SEE SOME MOPAR!

Why buy these aftermarket items and install them yourself when you could just buy a factory equipped super fancy truck that charges double the cost of doing it yourself?

SEMA is a joke these days. Remember the good old days of F150 lightnings and SRT10 Rams? These days its factory installed lift kits and big tires, double the price of purchase and installation for a bit of convenience

Jeez you'll need a 30' ladder to get those kayaks. Better call Celine Dion "take a kayak"

Flood the floor with you're cheap plastic AL beer can trucks Furd, you'll still be in 2nd place behind GM when Dec 31st rolls around LMBO!

Very nice...the white Air Design Ranger looks very similar to my global Wildtrak w/3 inch lift & NITTO Ridge Grappler 285-75-R18
