^^^ i get youre loyalty to the brand but blimdly saying this is a winner is rather uhhh dumb. This is just a lift with orange accents and ugly (to me) wheels. As the article stated, this is just wayyyy overpriced compared to the superduty next to it.

^^^^^^^ agreed. Wheels are horrific. Needs to be supercharged to be asking that type of price tag.

The only changes I see from 2014 to 2015 F-150 was the dash vent shape. Otherwise, it's the same interior.

Not yet, but several guys who are service techs at Ford service depts saw the picture of the engine compartment and signed up for new career training.

Have you ever seen more wires, hoses and ... more wires and more hoses? Holy cow. that sure is a bunch of stuff in there.

papajim That is your jealousy talking. The GM similar size engine the 5.3 can not come close to competing with the 5.0.
Most GM dealers are looking for techs with experience with replacing cams and lifters.

Anyone that pays 100k for a 1/2 ton pickup, heck even for a 1 ton truck has a screw loose. Especially without some major performance upgrades. I just saw the other day a company in Ohio was selling any 5.0 f150 truck and supercharging it to 650-700 hp for an 9900 bucks with full warranty.

GM's family of V8s are well regarded. Ford hasn't had a well regarded V8 since the Windsor engines were dropped.

You remember the Windsor's --- they're the engines that Ford copied from the original Chevy SBC. Without the Windsor, Ford's history with V8s since WW2 at least has been crap.

The 5.3L performance specs are 6.1 secs to 60 mph. The 5.0L performance specs are 5.9 secs to 60. I'd say the 5.3L matches up pretty well with the 5.0L. Especially since the 5.0L is supposed to have 40 HP more than the 5.3L

It's the same difference the 6.2L has over the 3.5L from Ford.

Just compare 2 similar vehicles from a couple of years back and it becomes clear which vehicles are creating the most problems. Hint: it is not the GM product.

I can understand the whole Harley chic, but F150? Not so much. I owned one. If I could buy another 1979 F150 like my old one with the great old 4 speed stick and the 300 six, well. Hmmm---I'd probably keep in in a garage all the time cause that truck was the king AND queen of rust.

So, in conclusion. If your choice is buying some ridiculous jewelry for your girlfriend OR buying a Ford/Harley truck, get her the ring.
