Mopar Ram 2500 Heavy Hitter Steps Up to the Plate
Mopar will crash the 2019 Chicago Auto Show just like it did in 2018, but this time with a new set of accessories tailored to the all-new 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 lineups. And to highlight some of the more interesting personalization options for the heavy-duty trucks, Ram will reveal its latest concept to auto show attendees in Chicago.

Dubbed the Heavy Hitter, this modified 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn 4x4 crew cab starts with the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 and new eight-speed transmission, but it also sports some of the more than 170 Mopar parts made for the HD lineup. The most dramatic piece of equipment on this concept is the powder-coated lightbar topped with five 5-inch LED lights shining almost 25,000 lumens. The lights are controlled by integrating the switches into the auxiliary switches in the center console.
The Heavy Hitter also sports a set of powder-coated off-road rock rails to protect the underbody (not yet production pieces) and a set of 17-inch beadlock-type wheels (also not yet production) to hold the aggressive 37-inch mud-terrain Goodyear tires, all kept tucked up underneath the fender wells with a set of four fender flares.
Mopar also put a corner step in the rear of the truck to provide quick access to the bed, which is accessible when the tailgate is up or down. Inside the cab, the Heavy Hitter wears brushed, stainless-steel door guards emblazoned with the Ram logo, as well as heavy-duty waterproof all-weather floormats throughout.
Other Mopar accessories created for the Ram 2500 and 3500 models include an extra trailer camera, a new gooseneck back cleat setup, toolboxes for the bed, several types of bedliners, Katzkin seat covers, tonneau covers and more. Visit www.mopar.com to see the full parts list for the Ram HDs.

It looks good and the truck is big enough the 37's do not look overblown. Maybe GM can take a hint(they have not for the last 30 years) but look what you can do with round wheel wells.
PS I own a Chevy, I have to trim to put 33's on.
Nice color
Maybe GM can take a hint...Posted by: Dave | Feb 8, 2019
So leading the US in pickup sales, outselling the world's leading automakers in this market for the last five years wasn't enough Dave?
Here's a hint that all is not well. Ram outsold Chevy Silverado the last 7 months.
Ram really seems to be getting their act together. The new GM's are starting to hit their own sweet spot and Ford has now finally unloaded that hideous grill that looks like a tsunami of chrome coming at you.
Right you are Mike, that IS a nice shade of blue. It just strikes
me that the designers are finally getting it right, the engineering is reaching levels never seen before and we, the buying public, have more choices then ever before. The American pickup market has seemingly overnight been blessed with a plethora of vehicles that has to be the envy of the
world....
Now, if reliability can match the choices and vehicles aren't
rushed to market, the sky's the limit....
Damn, that's a nice looking truck...

The RAM was in full production during that stretch. Which RAM you ask? The same one that is recalling a zillion new trucks over manufacturing snafu's. That one.
GM was phasing out the previous generation halfton truck and phasing in the new one.
You already knew that, right?
Haha. You need your head examined if you believe that. Fakenews from Papajim.
Reading Papajim and the other GM'ers who commented makes it clear they are drinking the GM koolaid, the same koolaid that led GM to bankruptcy. Ram outsold Chevy for the last 7 consecutive months. Period. No excuses, GM'ers. You lost and it's getting worse. Even the writers are talking about all the mistakes GM made with the latest update. Keep on talkin', GM'ers. But be aware jealousy is not becoming. #1 and #2 don't care what #3 thinks.
@papajim
you know who leads the full size segment don't you
quit posting that stuff
you can change
you can't change stupid
again
LOL @ U
@ Dale:
Your point is well-taken.
Ram outsold Chevy for the last 7 consecutive months. Period.
@Dale
Go spend a morning or two hanging out at a RAM dealer service department and ask all those new RAM pickup owners how they like that coffee, dude. There shouldn't be any shortage of people to talk to because FCA is recalling some crazy number of the 2019 RAM pickup buyers about the brake pedals falling off their trucks.
Have a great day
@papajim
your post makes no sense
no wonder you don't have any creditability
LOL @ U
@papajim
who is gonna come help you today
the hypocrite tntgmc
or
the sub-personality what the heck
this oughta be good stuff
LOL
I will give Ram credit for producing by far the nicest looking interior in the segment, as well as apparently offering the best ride in the segment. Part of me would like to have a Ram pickup, but my experience with them reflects exactly what Consumer Reports says about the Ram HD, the single most unreliable vehicle sold in the USA. I don't take the CR reliability ratings as gospel, but I at least take a close look at them before making a purchasing decision. Just as a reminder, Chrysler went bankrupt too, and in fact, according to former President Obama, was in far worse shape than GM financially at the time. The only reason Ford did not go bankrupt is that they borrowed about $20 billion before the big economic crash hit, and then borrowed another $5.9 billion from the Federal Government after the crash. Kudos to Ford for avoiding bankruptcy, but I don't think they were in any better financial condition than GM, but they were smart enough to get massive loans before the crash really took hold.
no wonder you don't have any creditability
@yard sale
No creditability??? I get at least five credit-card come-ons in the mail every week. My credit rating must be good enough for that.
I don't think most yard sales will take a credit card. They are just like a private family barbeque at Johnny and June Cash's house.
Cash only.
Credibility = credit cards....COME ON PEOPLE!! That was funny!!!
I'm an idiot.
I really liked your comment papajim. I thought it was clever and funny. I also wear ladies undergarments and dance around the house to 70s rock with my mother so what do I know....
NEWS ALERT***NEWS ALERT***NEWS ALERT
For all the guys who were beating the drum for RAM to overtake GM in 2019
Today FCA aka Fiat Chrysler revealed that their 2019 estimates for sales and profitability will be scaled back to address excess dealer inventories and changes in their Jeep lineup. As a result of the Chrysler press release today their share price lost more than 10 percent of its value.

GM paid back bailout with TARP funds (known as tax payer dollars) then lied and got caught. So NO I don't think we should forget.

Your density and short term memory issues know no bounds.
The answer again(please write down so you do not unnecessarily repeat yourself) is per the terms of the loan, which to date are on time, in full and full compliance of the terms. Should you have information to the contrary please share and cease with the unwarranted insinuations.
