2019 Mercedes-Benz Metris Spring Pin: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 600 model-year 2019 Mercedes-Benz Metris work vans
The Problem: The head restraint of the seat or seatback may have been fitted without a spring pin or a spring pin that was improperly mounted, which can cause the upholstery carrier to come loose from the head restraint housing, increasing the risk of an injury in the event of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the head restraints for free.
What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz manufacturer Daimler Vans did not immediately provide an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 877-762-8267, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit NHTSA's website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
